Lenny Kravitz appears in a video promoting New Orleans. Lenny, who was hospitalized briefly last month for severe bronchitis, made the ad as a favor to his former assistant Sydney Torres who now runs SDT Waste and Debris Services. Torres spends his time and money cleaning up the French Quarter of New Orleans following the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Good for them!

they both did a great gesture…lenny exudes sexiness!
I’m sold. I applaud his efforts to help of New Orleans.
Off topic: But is he the sexiest, hottest man alive or what?
The french quarter was unscathed by Hurricaine Katrina for the most part. Thank God. His buddy is cleaning up behind the daily partying tourists and for that I say good job! I’m always amazed to find the streets clean in the morning after watching drunk people vomit in the street among many other things. It sounds gross, but it’s a lot of fun. There’s no place like New Orleans. I’m shocked the goverment has allowed it to remain in a delapidated state this long.
What about the lower 9th ward–the most effected area that’s still filthy and dirty as hell. Of course they’re fixin’ up the French Quarter–that’s where all the tourist go. Take a ride through the ghetto–where people actually have to live–and you’ll see it’s like night and day.SMH at fake ass Lenny and this weak publicity stunt.
I applaud his effort, however alot of celebs have stepped up awile ago to help try to rebuild the worst parts, like Jamil said it’s a big difference from the ghetto & the other parts of the city, all those folks that were on the top of there homes waiting on help & floating around in the water should have been helped immediatley it doesn’t make any sense how they had those folks waiting like that!! Then to call them refugees, c’mon, when Spike lee did that documentary those people had ever right to be pissed!! This is a touchy subject for me cause my in-laws are from there!!
Jamil, are you from New Orleans?
I miss my city, my hubby and i are definitely moving back asap, hopefully before the summer, i heard from a friend that work at a apt complex that the apts we stayed in-in the 9th has been rebuilt, but theres no vacancies, and my original hometown on the westbank new orleans is the same with no vacancies because the hispanic/latino workers rebuilt the houses and are now residing in them…but we still helping out, if he want to help out and i mean really make a difference he should concentrate on east bank new orleans, i mean not totally forget the rest of south louisiana but though its more cleaned up id still like to see more businesses reopened in the east
