American socialite Kim Kardashian is vigorously denying rumors that she chose the sex of her unborn son in an in vitro process that allows couples to chose their baby's sex. Kim's publicist fired off emails to blogs and media outlets today denying a report on UsWeekly.com.
It's common knowledge that Kim and her husband Kanye West spared no expense on multiple in vitro fertility treatments in hopes of having a boy. She even incorporated the fertility treatments into her reality TV show. But now a source has confirmed to Us Weekly magazine that the rumors that Kim only wanted a boy are true.
The source said Kim "only had boy embryos implanted” in her uterus to ensure that she would have a boy. But due to Kim's past medical history that includes pre-eclampsia, the embryos failed and the process had to be repeated over and over again.
Kim was desperate to have a 2nd child to save her family's reality TV series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She desperately wanted twins, but the IVF treatments to implant multiple embryos failed. So she settled on having a boy instead.
Kim always wanted two kids,” a source told Us Weekly. “A girl and a boy.”
