I was the only one stressing too. DF, my mom, my granny, they were all confident he wouldn’t get joint custody. I didn’t tell anyone else. DF just saw all the lawyer, social worker interviews, home visit, parenting class stuff as a waste of time. When they came out, she shot at one of them! Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but when I took some Criminal Justice classes, I thought if the danger was away from you, you weren’t allowed to open fire. If she went to her car, wasn’t she safe and away from the danger? The intruders were in the house, she was in the car.Clearly she had her keys, because she had just arrived home. I think she was wrong for shooting, because she could have driven off. Here’s the story-
“A gun-toting homeowner scared off two intruders she found in her home late Tuesday night, according to Suisun City police.
The 24-year-old woman arrived at her home on the 1300 block of Worley Drive at about 10:30 p.m. to find two men inside, police said.
The woman managed to arm herself with a handgun and ran back outside to a vehicle parked in front of her house. When one of the burglars approached her, she shot at him and he retreated back into the house. Both men then fled the house and the area, police said.
