Amber Heard dropped a bombshell that may help her win her case in divorce court, despite rumors that she committed adultery with another woman while married to actor Johnny Depp.
Heard, 30, showed up to court Friday with a bruise on her face, which she says she sustained at the hands of Depp.
Superior Court Judge Carl Moor granted a temporary restraining order and warned the 52-year-old actor to stay 100 yards away from Heard.
People.com reports that Depp paid Heard hush money to keep quiet.
A source tells PEOPLE that Depp was aware that Heard planned to file a domestic violence restraining order against him, and that he offered her money to make it go away.
To make matters worse, the LAPD issued a statement about a domestic call involving the couple that officers responded to in Downtown LA.
“On May 21, police responded to a domestic incident radio call in the 800 block of S. Broadway. The person reporting did not insist on a report, nor was there any evidence provided by the victim that warranted a report. Officers’ investigation determined that a crime did not occur. Officers [cleared] the scene and left a business card. We cannot confirm that a restraining order was sought or obtained.”
"This was not an isolated event," a source told People.com.
“This was only the latest incident."
Heard filed for divorce on May 23 after 15 months of marriage.
"Amber did what she had to do to take care of herself," the source tells PEOPLE.
