The case against Amy Cooper — dubbed Central Park Karen — will go forward as planned, despite victim Christian Cooper’s refusal to cooperate with the Manhattan district attorney.

Amy Cooper was charged last week with filing a false report against Christian who asked her to leash her dog in a section of Central Park where he was bird watching.

In the May 25th 911 call, she claimed, “There’s an African-American man threatening my life.”

But Christian doesn’t want her prosecuted, he has previously stated.

“She’s already paid a steep price. That’s not enough of a deterrent to others? Bringing her more misery just seems like piling on.”

Amy was fired from her job and briefly lost custody of her rescue dog after the video of her incident with Christian went viral.

TMZ reports that the D.A.’s Office would like Christian to cooperate, but in this case, it’s not necessary — because he’s technically not the victim, the city is.

If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 1 year in jail.
