Gospel superstar Kirk Franklin tapped Atlanta rapper Lil Baby for his gospel single, titled "We Win."
"We Win," the first single from the Space Jam: A New Legacy soundtrack, topped Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart, dated June 5.
The single, released on May 21, marks the first gospel song for the trap rapper, and Franklin's eighth chart topper.
"I'm humbled," Franklin tells Billboard.
"There are so many dope gospel artists in this genre, and I'm honored to shed some light on the music that we make. What else can I say but thank you. Thank you to the Father for letting me borrow something for this record, to Lil Baby for jumping on the track and to everybody that helped make this record possible."
Lil Baby, 26, was raised by a single mother in Atlanta. He spent two years in prison before launching his rap career with the help of rapper Young Thug, who reportedly paid the young rapper to stay off the streets.
