Angel Reese snubbed her former LSU teammate Flau’jae Johnson during Saturday’s Atlanta Dream matchup against the Seattle Storm.
The incident happened with over a minute left in the 4th quarter. Seattle was comfortably ahead of the Atlanta Dream on the way to a 105-90 win at home. So Flau’jae extended her hand to Angel, who kept on walking to the Dream bench. Handshakes between opponents are not a requirement in the WNBA. But it shows poor sportsmanship to refuse an opponent’s handshake.
It was their first meeting as pro players in the WNBA. Flau’jae and Angel were best of friends in college and they won a national championship together in 2023.

Flau’jae is an aspiring rapper who serenaded Angel at her birthday party in Atlanta in 2023.
Angel and Flau’Jea were closerthanthis at the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue release party in New York City. A spy said they couldnāt keep their hands off each other all night.
But their relationship deteriorated after the lesbian rumors started. Angel addressed their failed relationship in 2023.
“I still support Flau’jae. We aren’t as close as we used to be,” she said. “There’s no hard feelings or anything, but we aren’t as close as we used to be. It happens.”
The latest incident is a reminder of Angel’s infamous attitude that got her booted off of the Chicago Sky. The Sky traded her to Atlanta in exchange for 2 first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2028.
Atlanta gave up 2 draft picks for a streaky player with a narcissistic personality who thinks she’s the best player in the WNBA.
