Atlanta radio host Darian Morgan, aka “Big Tigger,” spoke out after he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children over the weekend.
Morgan was arrested in Sandy Springs on Saturday, June 20, on battery and 3rd-degree cruelty to children charges. The former host of BET’s “Rap City” was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Saturday and bonded out the same day, TMZ reported.
Jail officials tell TMZ that Morgan was released after posting surety bonds totaling $10,000, including a $9,000 bond for the aggravated battery charge and a $1,000 bond related to the cruelty-to-children charge.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Morgan denied “every allegation” that he assaulted his wife, Alicia Brown.
“For the past 30+ years, I have built my life around relationships and community. Those who know me know the man, father, husband, and friend I have been throughout my life,” he wrote.
“Because this is an active legal matter, I am limited in what I can say. What I can say is that I have complete confidence in the facts and in the legal process. I will continue to cooperate fully and trust that the truth will come to light. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support and encouragement. My family and I are deeply grateful.”
In a now-deleted video, Brown broke down in tears while displaying her facial injuries. She suffered a black eye, bruising and facial lacerations. Morgan welcomed a son with Brown in 2025.

Brown also accused Morgan of having an affair with his Big Tigger Morning Show co-host Francesca Amiker, 36. Morgan addressed the allegations on his radio show on June 12.
“Good morning Atlanta, I’m extremely privileged to be here this morning, back at work,” he said.
“Over the past several days, there has been significant public discussion and speculation regarding my personal life. I understand this can happen being a public person. I’ve been doing radio now 32 years, and television for 29. I appreciate first and foremost the support and concern that so many people have shown. I want to say categorically – categorically that these allegations and accusations that have been circulating about me are false, untrue, not happening, didn’t happen.”

Morgan, 53, also apologized to Amiker after Brown suggested that she filed for divorce from Morgan because he and Amiker are more than friends.
In addition to hosting V-103’s morning show, Morgan is also the resident DJ at Atlanta Falcons games and the PA announcer at Atlanta Hawks games.
