Dwyane Wade’s eldest son Zaire Wade was arrested on Sunday for felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment.

According to reports, a neighbor called 911 after hearing a woman’s screams from inside Zaire’s Burbank, California home.

Police arrived around 5:30 a.m. and found a woman in the home with multiple lacerations on her face and body, TMZ reported. Zaire was arrested on three felony charges. A handgun was recovered in the home.

The woman declined to be transported to the hospital. A judge granted her request for a restraining order.

Zaire, 24, was released on $50,000 bond on Sunday afternoon.

Zaire was one of the nation’s top 5th grade basketball prospects at age 10. He played alongside LeBron James’ son, Bronny, at Sierra Canyon High School in California But injuries kept Zaire on the bench in his freshman year.

Lack of playing time in his second year at Sierra Canyon prompted Zaire to transfer to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. But injuries continued to plague him and he dropped out.

Zaire received several scholarship offers from small colleges but he declined and chose to skip college.

In 2021, he signed a player contract with the G League’s Salt Lake City Stars, an affiliate of the Utah Jazz. Wade is part owner of the Utah Jazz, which sparked nepotism allegations.

On March 23, 2022, Zaire was waived by the Stars after suffering a season-ending injury.

He also played pro basketball in South Africa and Macau, China.
