Erykah Badu’s Daughter Puma Shows Off Her Vocals in Viral Video

Erykah Badu’s daughter Puma Curry inherited 50% of her mother’s legendary vocals. The 22-year-old aspiring singer showed off her vocal range in an exclusive video shared by TSR on Instagram.

Puma’s viral moment brought her accolades from R&B powerhouse Jill Scott, who wrote in the comments: “Ok Pumady. Broadway is calling! You want auntie to write summ?”

Actress Tichina Arnold wrote: “You betta sang. Yes girl.”

And songbird SZA wrote: “go baby.”

In previous videos, Puma covered her mom’s song “Green Eyes” and Rihanna’s song “Stay.”

Erykah, 55, is best known for her debut studio album Baduizm (1997), which spawned four hit singles: “On & On”, “Appletree”, “Next Lifetime” and “Otherside of the Game”.

She followed Baduizm with the release of her November 1997 album, Live, featuring her signature song “Tyrone.” The album was certified double platinum by the RIAA.
