The former road manager for Yonkers rap icon Jadakiss is charged in the fatal shooting of his niece in a dispute over a home she inherited.
Michael Foster, 58, was arrested at his Mount Vernon home on Wednesday, July 15. Police say he fatally shot 39-year-old Julia Anderson as she sat in her Jeep in the Wakefield section on Monday night.
Foster pulled up on a MoPed and shot Anderson through the passenger window of her Jeep Cherokee just before midnight, according to the NYPD.
The victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she died.
Sources said Foster and Anderson lived in the same Mount Vernon house.
The New York Post reports members of the NYPD’s Crime Scene Unit raided a home on Bell Avenue home Wednesday. They emerged from the home carrying bags of evidence.
Foster is charged with murder, manslaughter and 10 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, The Post reported. He is awaiting an arraignment hearing in Bronx Criminal Court.
Anderson’s mother Beverly Patterson told Fox5 that her daughter was a hard worker at a home for disabled people. Patterson said Anderson would have celebrated her 40th birthday next month.
“My younger daughter came and she told me and my heart felt like it was going to come out,” said Patterson.
“She was very good, she kind of looks similar like me, although she’s tall, like 6 foot, I think,” Patterson told Fox5.
Patterson said her daughter had just left work when she was killed. “She usually comes home at 12 in the night, and usually when she comes home, I hear some kind of little noise, that’s how I know she’s home. But then I was like wondering what happened,” Patterson said.
“I don’t know, she went to work and that was it, never heard anything from her again,” she added.
Foster was known in the music industry as the owner and CEO of PaperBoy Entertainment, LLC. He formerly managed rapper Jadakiss and The Lox.
