Former NBA star Lonzo Ball opened up about his mom, Tina Ball, leaving his father, LaVar Ball.
The NBA free agent spoke about his parents’ separation in a recent podcast.
Lonzo, 28, said he loves both of his parents, but he helped his mom to leave his abusive father.
“My mom didn’t want to leave. She was… damn near forced to leave. I helped her leave. I’m glad she left. She’s in a great spot,” Lonzo said.
“So she’s good, my pops is good. They obviously don’t f*** with each other. But I f*** with them both, and she was not wrong at all.”
Lonzo explained that his mom did not leave LaVar because he lost his foot. “That’s a myth that was put out there.”
The former Cleveland Cavaliers star said his parents did a great job raising him and his brothers, NBA star LaMelo Ball, 24, and aspiring rapper LiAngelo Ball, 27.

LaVar, 58, announced his separation from his wife during a livestream with N3on at his Chino Hills, California home last month.
He said he found someone else – a submissive woman who works for him named Amor.

Video footage showed LaVar bossing Amor around the kitchen.
X.com users were quick to defend Amor in the comments. One person wrote: “Why is he yelling at her? Just get a woman you don’t have to yell at.”
