A man crashed his vehicle into the front gate of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s $26 million East Hampton mansion on Wednesday.
Police say the 63-year-old man appeared to be “confused” when he smashed through the gate.
According to a police report, the Bronx man was “driving at a high rate of speed up the driveway,” and failed “to stop at the closed mechanical driveway gates.” The report said the crash caused “significant damage.”
The man was arrested and taken to Stoney Brook Hospital for evaluation after he complained of pain. His vehicle was impounded.

A police source told Page Six that the man “has no criminal history and he seemed confused at the scene and after the arrest. He did not make any threats or mention names of the residents. It could just be chance he picked that house if he was having a medical issue.”
The officer said the man stopped at another home down the road and asked for a woman. When told she didn’t live there, he drove on. The homeowner said the man seemed confused.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z purchased the house in 2017 for $26 million.
