Madison Square Garden kept a list of celebrities labeled as “LGBTQIA,” DO NOT HOST,” and “low risk” to “high risk.”
The list was curated by the New York Knicks’ controversial owner, Jim Dolan. Rapper Fat Joe is on the list as a “medium risk” superfan who celebrated with Dolan in Cleveland when the Knicks clinched its first NBA Finals appearance in decades.
The list was exposed by a hacker group called ShinyHunters. The database is part of a much larger trove of documents leaked last month by ShinyHunters, according to WIRED.com.
Also on the list are rappers DaBaby and Jadakiss of The Lox. They are designated as “medium risk” because of their connection to Fat Joe. Jadakiss had been critical of Dolan in the past.
Other hip-hop stars mentioned as “high risk” are Freddie Gibbs, Lil Jon, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.
Drill rapper Lil Tjay, who was shot by his opps in New Jersey in 2022, was recently involved in an altercation at the Garden, and is listed as “BANNED FROM MSG,” according to the database.
“It’s a really, really paranoid, terrible system,” a source told WIRED.
Iconic hip-hop producer, DJ and rapper Pete Rock, who is a Knicks Superfan, is marked as “DO NOT HOST” in the database.
Pete Rock called for a boycott of Dolan on Twitter after beloved Knicks legend Charles Oakley was forcibly removed from the Garden, arrested, and banned in 2017.
“None of the other owners are as petty as Dolan is,” Pete Rock tells WIRED in a direct message, before addressing Dolan directly: “You can’t stop me from being a Knick fan, but your controlling behavior towards people is very unprofessional.”
Oakley and Dolan had a longstanding feud, according to reports. Oakley filed a lawsuit against Dolan and MSG.
During an episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Oakley’s wife, Angela Oakley, said they separated after the incident at MSG in 2017.
“The owner [Jim Dolan] does not like Charles and called security to come. [They] escorted him out,” she said.
“We were newly married. He needed to heal, and I couldn’t heal him during this time. I was just like, ‘You know what? We’re going to try to work through this at a distance.’ And we did live separately. So us just recommitting to one another, I feel like is important at this moment, because everything that happened since we got married, it affected us.”
