Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also known as RFK Jr., launched a new cooking show to prove eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive.

Kennedy, 72, is believed to be the first White House official to star in a TV series while in office.

The new government-backed series, titled “The Real Food Show,” launched on July 30 on YouTube. The series’ goal is to help families cook healthy meals for under $5 per serving.

The show provides simple, budget-friendly recipes as part of President Trump’s “Make America Healthy Again” campaign.

The new series will air every week on YouTube with a goal to “reintroduce” Americans to cooking at home and eating out less.

In an interview to promote the show, RFK Jr. said many Americans believe healthy food is more expensive than fast food.

“Fast food is not less expensive. That meal costs $12 to $14. People can eat a lot cheaper at home and a lot better food,” he said. “But many Americans have forgotten how to cook. It’s becoming a lost art.”

In the series, Kennedy will travel the country to inspire Americans to cook healthy, nutritious meals on a budget.

The HHS secretary said his recipes will feature kimchi, sauerkraut and yogurt. RFK Jr. once carried his own packets of homemade sauerkraut to restaurants.
