Sean “Diddy” Combs is in solitary confinement after fighting with a fellow inmate at a federal lockup in New Jersey.

The 56-year-old record producer and rapper is serving a three-year sentence at Fort Dix FCI following a July 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution.

Multiple sources tell TMZ Sean did not back down in a fistfight with the other inmate this week. Sean went toe-to-toe with the other inmate who “dissed” him.

Sean and the other inmate pushed each other and started throwing hands, TMZ reported.

Correctional officers broke up the fight and threw Sean into solitary confinement. He was due to be released from prison in February 2028, but the fight may cost him more time if prison officials decided he started the fracas.

Sean’s release date was previously pushed back after he violated prison rules by drinking homemade brew last year.

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump declined to pardon Sean. Trump posted his clemency decisions on his Truth Social app on July 3, and Combs’ name was not on the list.

The White House announced on July 3 that Trump pardoned 11 men, most of whom had been convicted of crimes related to the Clean Air Act. The president pardoned six people convicted of emissions violations. Trump said the men were sent to prison by former President Joe Biden for “fixing their car.”
