Thousands of Jay-Z fans lined up outside Yankee Stadium in the Bronx at midnight to get into his 3rd and final “Extra Innings” concert on Sunday.

The anniversary concert got underway at 12:20 a.m. Monday after a nearly 4-hour delay. According to the NY Post’s Page Six, fans who didn’t have tickets caused a massive security breach when they bum rushed the doors.

Police locked down the gates and thousands of ticket holders were stuck outside Yankee Stadium for hours in a heat wave.

A$AP Rocky, Fabolous, and Charlamagne were among the VIPs stuck outside with the crowd.

The concert was scheduled to start at 8 p.m., but the doors didn’t open until 10 p.m. Only half of the stadium was filled when Jay-Z hit the stage on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, outside the stadium, fans who paid an arm and a leg for tickets vented their frustration on social media. Some fans collapsed in the sweltering heat.

Boos echoed throughout the half-empty stadium as Jay-Z apologized for the delay. The 56-year-old rapper wore a Kevlar vest for his own safety.

“Let me explain the delay to you guys,” the middle-aged rapper told the audience inside. “It was like 10,000 people outside and we closed all the doors, and somebody rushed the door. They closed the door for you guys’ safety and everyone’s safety outside.”

On Friday, Jay-Z showed footage of his wife, Beyoncé, allegedly cutting his hair before the first concert.

The “99 Problems” rapper brought out Beyoncé and their eldest child, Blue Ivy, to perform.

Blue, 14, surprised fans by playing the piano during her father’s 1996 song “Feelin’ It.”
