A judge ordered NBA star Anthony Edwards to pay $14,000 a month for a son he says he has never met.
Anthony was ordered to increase his child support payments to Alexandria Descroches, a.k.a Ally D, mother of his 2-year-old son, Amir.
In court documents, obtained by TMZ, Anthony previously paid Alexandria around $3,200 a month for Amir. But his NBA salary ballooned to $4.8 million month, which the court said doesn’t justify the pittance he is paying Alexandria.
Alexandria went back to court to ask for an increase in her monthly support – and the judge agreed that the Timberwolves star can afford to pay more.
Alexandria submitted her financials that show she earns around $1,016 per month working part-time. She testified that she hopes to pay college tuition to complete her education and better support her child.
The judge also examined Anthony’s financials and noted that Anthony spends $31,000 a month on food, $70,000 a month on entertainment, and $30,000 a month on vacations for himself, his new bride, Shannon, and his entourage.
In addition to child support, the judge ordered Anthony to take out a life insurance policy on himself worth around $2.6 million with Alexandria named as the beneficiary. He must also pay Alexandria’s legal fees totaling more than $21,000.
Alexandria and Anthony’s son, Amir, was born in 2023. In court documents, Anthony admitted that he has never met his son and is not seeking visitation rights with the toddler.
In addition to Amir, Anthony has children with multiple women, including 2-year-old daughter, Aislynn (with his wife Shannon). Aislynn is the only child he publicly claims.
He also has a daughter named Aris (born in September 2023), and daughter Aubri Summers (born Oct. 14, 2024).
Anthony officially relinquished his parental rights to Aubri, his daughter with Instagram model Ayesha Howard. He pays Ayesha $3,222 a month in child support.
