Retired NFL quarterback Cam Newton confirmed quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ claim that “multiple” NFL coaches faked COVID mRNA vaccination cards.
Rodgers called the Covid-19 era a “crazy time.” He described wearing facemarks into restaurants, then removing the masks to eat. “What a crock of (expletive),” Rodgers said.
“A lot of people had probably fake vax cards back in the day,” Rodgers said. “I remember seeing some of the vax cards. It was like written in crayon.”
Newton agreed, saying “multiple” NFL players, coaches and executives fraudulently paid for their fake COVID cards.
“I knew multiple people in that locker room didn’t get the Covid shot,” Newton said. “But they got a card that they paid for.”
Newton made the comments during his “4th & 1” podcast, Fox News reported.
“If we’re being honest,” Newton said on his podcast, “Going back to 2020, there were multiple players, coaches, and executives that fraudulently got their COVID shot. Yes, I said it.”
The league imposed strict regulations on players and coaches. Unvaccinated players had to submit to daily testing. They were forced to wear facemasks inside team facilities, and maintain distancing.
NFL head coaches were required to get vaccinated to work.
