Former NBA player Royce White expressed disappointment when CNN canceled an interview with her. Royce, who sometimes goes by Roysha, made headlines last week when she announced her intention to declare for the 2027 WNBA Draft.
In a new video, Roysha, 35, said she was set to interview with CNN at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. But a producer messaged her to say, “We’re canceling the interview. We have other news.”
“That’s a universal – we have other news,” said a disappointed Roysha. “And I just, for the life of me again, they’re not giving Black women a voice – sometimes identifying as trans Black women – a voice on CNN. It blows my mind. It’s disappointing.”
Roysha added, “It’s a huge disappointment. Especially CNN.”
Roysha’s fans showed support in the comments on X.com.

I’m a big fan of hers. The anti trans and woman phobia directed at her is horrible.
