Former OF model Courtney Clenney was sentenced to six years in prison for fatally stabbing her boyfriend, 27-year-old Christian Obumseli, in April 2022.
The former Instagram model, aka Courtney Tailor, stabbed Obumseli in the shoulder following an argument at their Miami apartment. Obumseli bled to death from a severed artery.
2 days later, Clenney was arrested in Hawaii and charged with second-degree murder.
She was extradited to Miami, where she entered a mental health treatment center and was released after she claimed self-defense.
Civil Rights Attorney Lee Merritt suggested that Clenney’s “White privilege” is the reason she was not initially arrested upon arrival in Miami.
She pled guilty to manslaughter in a plea deal on Monday, August 10. Clenney showed no remorse during the hearing at Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Monday.

Clenney will be released from jail in less than 2 years with good behavior and time served.
She settled a civil lawsuit with Obumseli’s family shortly before her guilty plea.
Clenney, 26, was a popular Instagram model and influencer with over 2 million followers. She also sold content to male customers on OF.
Clenney’s case sparked outrage on social media in 2022. She was confronted by a woman in the lobby of Miami’s Grand Beach Hotel.
“Yeah, you should go. Yeah, you should go. ‘Cause you just killed your boyfriend. Yeah, you did,” the woman told Clenney, who fled the hotel with a male friend.
