On Wednesday, every media outlet in America breathlessly reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to England after failing to win over Americans.
The New York Times, which usually does its due diligence, reported Meghan and Harry “are moving back after six years in the United States.”
Fox News claimed Harry and Meghan are moving back to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Fox added the additional detail that the children are enrolled in a British school.
The Associated Press also confirmed Harry and Meghan are packing up and leaving America, but they won’t assume their royal duties when they return to British soil.
However, TMZ says Meghan and Harry aren’t cutting ties with the U.S. – they’re keeping their Montecito, California, mansion because they plan to return to the U.S.
Sources tell TMZ there are no plans to sell their Montecito mansion, and reports claiming otherwise are false.
TMZ added that the move to Britain is just a “temporary” relocation.
TMZ confirms Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, is staying in the U.S. because she’s not willing to leave her life behind, even temporarily.
