Procter & Gamble Taps 3 “NFL Moms” to Make Bladder Leaks Part of NFL Conversations

Procter & Gamble, the makers of Pampers and Always incontinence pads, tapped three “NFL moms” to spark conversations about bladder Leaks during menopause.

The company reached out to three “NFL moms” – Elisha Jarrett, mother of Grady Jarrett (Chicago Bears); Angela Burns, mother of linebacker Brian Burns (New York Giants); and Katie DeJean, mother of defensive back Cooper DeJean (Philadelphia Eagles), to share their stories about bladder leaks and how using Always Discreet helped them to focus on their sons’ games.

“I never miss a moment of any of my son’s games,” says Elisha Jarrett in a new commercial, according to Variety.

P&G is planning a big budget campaign for its Always Discreet incontinence pads for women that will air during NFL games this season.

The NFL is “the number one most-watched sport among our target consumers,” says Melissa Suk, vice president of adult incontinence for North America at Procter & Gamble, during a recent interview.

Suk noted that more women are tuning in to watch football games with their husbands and boyfriends.

“We really created this campaign by following our consumer and where her passion lies. And it’s watching the NFL,” she said.

Urine incontinence is not a problem for most women during menopause. But some women lose control of their bladders when their hormone levels drop.

Menopause marks the end of the reproductive years for women ages 45-55, due to low estrogen and progesterone levels in the bloodstream.
