Social media users claim actress Anne Hathaway wore a prosthetic belly to a recent movie premiere in California.
Anne attended the World premiere of her movie “The End of Oak Street” on Sunday, August 09, in Burbank. She wore a powder blue satin crop top that revealed her growing baby bump.
But social media users claim her belly is prosthetic and she’s not really pregnant. Some people said the baby is carrying too low. Others said her belly looks “very strange” for a pregnancy.
One observer wrote on X: “Her belly button has no hole”
Another person wrote: “I’m a woman and it looks like a fake preggo tummy especially that belly button thingy.”
A third person commented: “She’s wearing a fake pregnancy stomach. She’s not pregnant nor is she a biological woman.”
A closeup shot of Anne’s belly shows impressions on her skin from a metal jeans button and the elastic waistband of her maternity jeans. It would be difficult to replicate those impressions on a silicone prosthetic belly without advanced knowledge of what she was going to wear.
Anne also had supporters in the comments on X. One person wrote: “You’re comparing her belly to photos of one singular person side on.”
Another person wrote: You’re comparing a frontal shot to a side profile photo you dumba*s.”
A third fan fumed: “You realize not all pregnant women’s bodies are going to look the same right????”
Anne’s unfounded prosthetic belly rumor is reminiscent of Beyoncé’s infamous folding belly during a TV interview in 2011.
Anne, 43, and her husband, Adam Shulman are expecting their third child. They have 2 sons, ages 10 and 6. She suffered a miscarriage in 2015.
