George Wallace joked that Tyler Perry is “in trouble” if he’s moving to Puerto Rico next year.

The comedian made the comment during an appearance on WSB Radio’s “The Mark Arum Show” on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Arum told Wallace that Tyler is moving to Puerto Rico with his 11-year-old son, Aman.

The Atlanta native, 74, joked that Tyler might be in trouble, but he didn’t give any specifics. Wallace noted that Puerto Rico is still in the United States.

Tyler is currently facing multi-million lawsuits after two actors accused him of sexual misconduct last year. He denied all allegations against him and declared both lawsuits a “scam.”

In a new interview on “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle” on Monday, Sept. 14, Tyler revealed his plans to move to Puerto Rico at the start of 2027.

Tyler celebrated his 57th birthday on September 13, and he said he wanted to pull back “a whole lot” from working.

“Yep, moving to Puerto Rico at the top of the year, and I’m pulling back a whole lot,” Tyler told reporter Justin Sylvester.

“Getting older [inspired this],” he said. “It’s time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in.”

Tyler shares his son with ex-girlfriend Gelila Bekele, whom he dated from 2009 to 2020. He has no plans to get married any time soon.

Tyler said he’s more concerned about getting divorced than getting married.

“At this age, no, that’s not a good idea for me. So no, won’t be any marriage for me,” he said.

Tyler is currently on a promotional tour after the release of his movie, Why Did I Get Married Again? The film is the third installment in the Why Did I Get Married? franchise, which began in 2007.
