Daejon Love’s partner Taylor Chan is banned from online dating apps after he bonded out of jail. Love, 35, and Chan, 18, were arrested together at the Boise Airport in Idaho on August 24.

They are accused of scamming 26 women out of $1.3 million through the use of romance and investment scams.

Federal investigators say Love pretended to be a San Francisco 49ers wide receiver and a wealthy real estate investor. Chan posed as Love’s financial advisor in three-way phone calls with victims.

Chan was released on bond with strict requirements to stay off dating apps. Love will remain in custody after federal prosecutors say he is a “serious risk of flight,” the NY Post reported.

Chan was only 14 when he hooked up with Love and they began swindling desperate women.

Love’s Instagram page features photos and videos of him with 49ers gear and driving expensive cars. But the cars were rented and Love still owes the rental agency tens of thousands of dollars.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon wrote in a statement that the duo perpetrated the scams from February 2022 until August 24 – the day of their arrest.

Both men face charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud. The two counts each carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison.
