DoorDash fired a delivery driver who showed up at a customer’s door completely naked.
Houston resident Kiante Matlock was shocked when he checked his doorbell camera and saw the “completely naked” DoorDash driver delivering his food.
“I open the camera and look… buddy is completely naked,” Matlock told Fox 26 News.
The video footage shows a Black man with dreads standing on Matlock’s porch after dropping off his food.
Matlock said he and his daughter were waiting for their food when they saw the alert on his phone that their food had arrived. When he checked the video he was shocked by what he saw.
“And then to handle somebody’s food… is ridiculous. [There] could have been an underage child coming to the door or a woman,” Matlock said.
He said he threw the food away and DoorDash refunded his money.
DoorDash confirmed it permanently removed the driver’s access to the platform. The company called the driver’s behavior “vulgar and completely unacceptable.”
“This man’s behavior was vulgar and completely unacceptable, and as soon as we were made aware, our team permanently removed their access to our platform,” a DoorDash spokesperson said in a statement.
