Fantasia fans were shocked by her appearance in new photos and videos online. The “Color Purple” star picked up her new poodle on Tuesday at the airport in Charlotte, NC.
She captioned an Instagram post, “I’m so excited I picked up my second baby from @fionagracekennels at the airport today in Charlotte, North Carolina. He flew all the way from Texas and this is my second poodle from him. I swear he breeds the best dogs. I called immediately and said bring her to me ASAP. She’s worth every penny, now we have Lola and Tinker Bell.”
Fans noted Fantasia didn’t look like herself and they speculated that she went under the knife or she’s taking a weight-loss drug.
One person wrote: “Why would u ever join the cult of plastic surgery knowing where u came from??????”
Another person wrote: “You look like young Michael Jackson’s older sister on the 1st slide.”
A third person commented: “This is Fantasia, but doesn’t look like Fantasia. She doesn’t look like a man, but I do believe she’s on Ozempic.”
A fourth person wrote: “Chile who is this? EJ cosplaying.”
Fantasia is best known as the winner of the third season of “American Idol.” She was signed by J Records and released her first single, “I Believe”, in 2004. The song debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was the best-selling single of the year.
Fantasia’s debut album, Free Yourself, was certified platinum by the RIAA and was nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2004.
