The New York Knicks are still deciding whether to visit the White House to celebrate the team’s NBA championship with President Donald Trump.
According to reports, Coach Mike Brown says the NBA champions are still in discussions and no decision has been made.
“No, it’s still something that our guys, or the organization, is internally discussing and, you know, whatever we decide to do, we’ll all do together,” Brown said at the team’s first practice of the new season.

Trump is reportedly close friends with Knicks owner James Dolan. They sat together when Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden in June.

The Knicks won their first NBA championship in 53 years with a 94-90 victory in game 5 over the San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio.
Trump traditionally invites the reigning pro and college championship teams to the White House.
Previous teams have declined to visit Trump’s White House because of the tense political climate. Trump is Republican, while most pro teams in America consist of players who vote Democrat.

President Barack Obama congratulated the Villanova University men’s basketball team for winning the 2016 NCAA tournament.
Obama, a Democrat, hosted champion teams at the White House every year he was in office from 2009-2017.
