Psychotherapist Elliott Connie, of Elliott Speaks Instagram account, is going viral for speaking out against joining the “Hotel Lobby” trend on social media.

The trend is inspired by the 2022 performance of “Hotel Lobby” by Migos rapper Quavo and the late Migos rapper Takeoff during the Colors show.

Years later, the duo’s “Hotel Lobby” performance has inspired a plethora of AI recreations including one that shows former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama trading rap verses.

Psychotherapist and influencer Elliott Connie urged social media users not to follow the viral trend because each person who makes an AI video of “Hotel Lobby” uses a gallon and a half of water.

“It’s having a massive impact on our environment,” he warned. “We have to be thoughtful about the impact it’s having on our Earth and on future generations and how it’s depleting our resources.”

He added, “Things like this contribute to the depletion of really important resources.”
