Preliminary blood test results revealed the presence of benzodiazepines in singer Whitney Houston’s system after she died, according to Radar Online. The benzodiazepines found in Whitney’s system — Xanax, Ativan, and Valium — are sedatives prescribed for high anxiety and stress disorders associated with depression. Some benzodiazepines are highly addictive.
Houston, 48, was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her luxury suite at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 6:55 p.m. EST.
A law enforcement insider told RadarOnline.com: “The final toxicology results will reveal the specific sedative(s) that she ingested, and the level. Those final toxicology results should be in later this week.”
The law enforcement source also corrected a fallacy that is commonly quoted to the media by coroners — that toxicology test results take 4-6 weeks to come back.
“Toxicology testing and results don’t take 4-6 weeks to come back. Look at how quickly toxicology screening tests are done in hospital emergency rooms when someone comes in with an overdose. The Coroner and the Beverly Hills Police Department have placed a security hold on the case, so it will be a few weeks before the results are revealed publicly.”
Ms. Houston’s body was flown to New Jersey, where she will be eulogized on Thursday. Whigham Funeral Home owner Carolyn Whigham confirmed Whitney Houston’s Funeral for Saturday, Feb. 18th, at The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.
We now know that Houston’s body was flown to NJ on Tyler Perry’s private jet. We know that because some celebrities can’t perform a good deed without tacking on the price of free publicity.
Another narcissist who attached her name to this tragedy is Oprah Winfrey, who plans to air the full 2009 interview she did with Whitney on her struggling OWN Network on Feb. 16, at 9 p.m.
Oprah will also “reflect on her personal memories of the iconic superstar and shares with fans the magic of a musical icon gone too soon,” a press release from the network said.

Sandra, those drugs are all highly addictive and doctors know this when they prescribe them! It’s the reason why drug dealers are into the pill market now more than street drugs AND they are incredibly easy to get. A Xanax is capable of knocking someone out for hours, then add the mix of alcohol and you’ll be constantly checking on the person to ensure they are still breathing(wish I hadn’t seen this first-hand). I know too many REGULAR people who have died and are going to continue to die from this mess but America will never care because these drugs are big business…..
Until you’ve witnessed the effects these drugs have on people you won’t be able to comprehend just how bad they really are. Whitney’s erratic behavior during her last days makes sense if you’ve ever been around someone dependent on these pills. Just smh…this story is all too close to home for me.

I didn’t think it was odd that Tyler offered up his private plane. When a body is shipped to be funerali zed, you have to book and pay for a ticket like everyone else. A private plan gave the family member’s time to escort the body back with dignity and privacy. Depending on the cargo this can delay the shipping. A body cannot be transported until the state coroner’s office has signed off to ensure the body has no communicable diseases. Initial toxicology results can be done, but some test take a little longer to return.

TMZ just didn’t “happen” on these pictures. They were sold to them by someone who was there on the scene. I.E. someone who was in the hotel room at the time. Someone in Whitney’s camp, or one of the medical personnel. Everything that is being said at this point NOT officially is being leaked from someone very close to this “case”. Leaked, probably for money.

I’ve already seen so much slander against Bobby, especially. That he got her on drugs. Both Jennifer Holliday and Chaka Khan pretty much refuted that claim on last night’s Piers Morgan, and they admitted Whitney was using drugs “long before she met Bobby”.
Whitney was a hood chick—Clive turned her into this classy lady, but most people who knew Nippy knew she wasn’t the angelic muse Clive led everybody to believe she was.
In Bobby, she met someone who she could truly be herself around, and they thrived on that love. But after 14 years of marriage, that was no longer enough.
Listened to Whitney singing I love the Lord and almost dropped to my knees!!
