Rapper Lil Marlo is among 5 killed in Atlanta shootings over the weekend. Lil Marlo, real name Rudolph Johnson, was fatally shot on I-285 in downtown Atlanta late Saturday night.
Police said the shooting was a targeted hit. “At this time, investigators believe the victim was the intended target of the gunfire and they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.”
According to TMZ, police respond to a call of a single-vehicle accident around 11:30 p.m. and found the 30-year-old rapper suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lil Marlo signed to Quality Control Records in 2017. He is pictured with label co-founder Pee Thomas (right). The independent label’s acts include Cardi B, Lil Baby, Trippie Redd, Migos, City Girls, and Lil Yachty.
Label mate Lil Yachty confirmed the rapper’s death on Sunday. “We just did a song a 4 this morning smh rip brother,” he wrote on Instagram.
