Rapper Offset denies posting about Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ newborn son on social media. The 33-year-old father-of-6 shut down viral claims that he posted a Georgia law about babies being born during a marriage.

Cardi filed for divorce from Offset earlier this year. But he refuses to sign off on the divorce until she agrees to his demands for half of her net worth.

Offset shared a screenshot of a Georgia law that states if a baby is born during a marriage, “the child’s birth creates a strong legal presumption that the husband is the child’s father, regardless of biology.”

He captioned the post: “My kid lol.”

His post set Cardi B’s nerves on edge. She went on a live rant on Instagram, accusing her estranged husband of harassing her. She threatened to file a lawsuit if the harassment continues.

Offset deleted the post and he now claims the screenshot was fake. He insists he never wrote the caption and he never questioned the baby’s paternity.

Offset’s representative told TMZ the quotes are “completely fabricated.” The spokesperson said the post was “misinformation” and described the threat of a lawsuit as unnecessary. The rep added that Offset “genuinely wishes [Cardi B] nothing but the best.”

The incident demonstrates how quickly a viral moment can escalate to legal action. Cardi B is famous for filing lawsuits when she feels she is wronged.

Cardi warned her fans not to entertain Offset’s claims.

“Y’all be thinking it’s so funny and it’s not … It’s all fun and games until it’s too late,” she warned her fans.

She continued: “Sometimes I sleep and I wonder, ‘This is not normal.’ You see crime documentaries … You see s–t on social media about women getting killed every other day.”
