Vice President Kamala Harris admitted to being Indian in a video with Indian actress Mindy Kaling. The video was recorded during Harris’ first presidential run in 2020.

In the video filmed in Kaling’s kitchen, the two women bond over Indian food.

“Okay so what we’re going to cook today is an Indian recipe because you are Indian. And I don’t know that everybody knows that,” said Kaling.

“But I find that wherever I go – and I see Indian people at the supermarket, on the street – everyone’s like, ‘You know Kamala Harris is Indian, right?’ It’s like our thing we’re so excited about to have you running for president,” Kaling added.

Kaling clarified that they are both sub-Indians from Southeast Asia.

Harris told Kaling that she looked like “the entire one-half of my family.”

“Thank you. I’ve been telling people we’re related already,” Kaling laughed.

On Wednesday, ABC’s Rachel Scott grilled former President Donald Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference.

“I’ve known her a long time, indirectly, not directly, very much, and always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage,” Trump said. “I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black Indian. Or is she Black?”

Jamaican Dancehall star Vybz Kartel has been released from a Jamaican prison after serving over 10 years of a life sentence for murder.

In May, a judge in the UK denied a bond request for Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, despite having his murder conviction overturned in March.

Kartel, 48, is pictured in 2005 before skin lightening treatments.

He was convicted in the kidnapping and murder of his associate Clive “Lizard” Williams in Jamaica. Williams’ body was never found.

Kartel’s associates Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John were also released after years behind bars.

“The appellants are freed,” the Jamaica Court of Appeal wrote on Wednesday.

“We conclude that the interest of justice does not require a new trial to be ordered,” the court wrote.

The court said that there was sufficient evidence for a retrial.

The court cited the “psychological and financial effects that it would have on the appellants,” referring to Kartel’s health.

In 2023, Kartel’s private doctor notified authorities that his Graves’ Disease and heart condition were getting worse, and his condition could be fatal.

“His neck was swollen, if you think of a shirt that is about 18.5 inches in the neck area, you couldn’t close the collar on his neck and that’s how bad it is in this moment,” his defense attorney told FOX 5. “His face is actually swollen. And one other thing. He always wears glasses; in this condition, that causes his eyes to protrude.”

Dancehall fans believe Kartel’s bond was denied due to his negative influence on young women. Kartel’s lyrics are so explicit that his songs are banned on American radio.

He encouraged young women to record themselves lip-syncing to his raunchy songs in TikTok videos (watch below).

Notorious Washington, D.C. drug trafficker Rayful Edmond III is a free man. It isn’t clear when he left prison.

Edmond, 59, is seen in a cell phone video uploaded to X, formerly Twitter. He says “I’m back better than ever.”

Edmond is credited with introducing crack cocaine to the D.C. area during the crack epidemic of the 1980s. The resulting crime wave helped D.C. earn the reputation as the “murder capital of the United States.”

Federal prosecutors alleged that Edmond trafficked hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia to the Washington, D.C. area in the 1980s.

During his trial, Edmond was flown on a helicopter from prison to the courthouse every day.

He pled guilty to drug charges in 1989 and was sentenced to life without parole in a federal prison.

Edmond continued to run his drug empire from a Pennsylvania federal prison with the help of fellow inmates Dixon Trujillo-Blanco and his brother Osvaldo “Chicky” Blanco. The Blanco brothers were the sons of Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco.

After Chicky was released from prison and deported to Colombia, he was gunned down in 1992.

At the time, Chicky was Edmond’s main drug supplier in Colombia. His murder inspired Edmond to cooperate with federal authorities.

With Edmond’s help, the feds arrested 8 drug dealers in the D.C. area and recovered $190,000 in cash.

Edmond also gave the feds information on 2 homicides, and he testified at one of the murder trials.

In 2021 a judge reduced Edmond’s sentence from life without parole to 20 years with lifetime parole. He received credit for the 18 years he’d already served.

The Source magazine claims Sean “Puffy” Combs’ ex Kim Porter wrote a memoir about her life with Combs before she passed away.

Kim died from double pneumonia at her Los Angeles home on November 15, 2018. She was 47.

The Source magazine leaked excerpts from an alleged manuscript that described domestic violence.

Sandra Rose/Sandrarose.com

“We were supposed to go out for dinner, but he was in a foul mood,” Kim allegedly wrote. “Sean yelled, ‘What the f—!’ I would have to walk on eggshells as I came out of the bathroom, but I found him holding flowers, so I smiled, ‘You brought me flowers!’ Sean yelled, ‘No! So who the f— are they from?’ I was bewildered, and told him honestly, ‘I don’t know. Probably just a fan.’

“He threw the attached card at me. I picked it up to read it. ‘Sean i…’ He slapped me so hard I hit the ground. Sean yelled, ‘Who the f— were you with the other night?’ I looked down at the card that was lying next to me, and it read, ‘The other night was amazing, we must do it again.'”

The excerpts fueled suspicions that Sean Combs was abusive to Kim. The two shared three children: Christian Combs and twin daughters Jessie and D’lila Combs.

Sandra Rose/Sandrarose.com

As rumors of a memoir spread on the Internet, Kim’s close friend Eboni Elektra took to Instagram and addressed the memoir as “blatant lies”.

“Now it’s getting out of hand. THERE IS NO BOOK! There never was. Several people continue to speak about and spread blatant lies regarding this “mystery manuscript” as if it were true. People….. IT’S NOT. Kim would never do such a thing, and that’s the honest to God truth. God knows the truth and so does she. As for me, I couldn’t have another person call my phone or send me a text about this without clearing the air. Any negative feedback or comments on this post will receive no response except God bless you. The truth is the truth. Be blessed. #kimporterstrong.”

Kim, Eboni and Nicole Cooke-Johnson were co-founders of Three Brown Girls, a lifestyle planning company based in Atlanta.

Trump rebukes reporter’s ‘horrible’ questions at NABJ

ABC’s Rachel Scott ambushed former President Donald Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference on Wednesday.

The event started late because Scott’s camera crew couldn’t get their equipment to work.

Scott, a senior congressional correspondent for ABC News, opened her questions by accusing Trump of being rude to Black journalists and politicians.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been asked a question in such a horrible manner,” Trump said, as the audience laughed. “You don’t even say ‘hello,’ ‘how are you?'”

Trump then asked Scott, “Are you with ABC? Because I think they’re a fake news network.”

Scott asked Trump about referencing Vice President Kamala Harris as a “DEI hire.”

White House correspondent for The Grio, April Ryan expressed her indignation at the NABJ for inviting Trump to speak.

In a video released on X, Ken Lemon, NABJ President, addressed the criticism: “It’s absolutely not an endorsement. The first thing you read when we put out that release says it’s not an endorsement. Every year, every presidential election cycle, we invite the presidential candidates to come. We extend that to anyone who is a nominee.”

Jonathan Majors reacted to the news that actor Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is replacing Kang in Marvel’s next “Avengers” movies.

Majors was fired by Marvel execs the same day he was convicted for assaulting an ex-girlfriend in March 2023.

Majors, 34, played Kang the Conqueror in the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). Kang was set to feature prominently in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.”

‘Avengers’ has now been scrapped and replaced by Downey’s “Avengers: Doomsday.”

Majors said he was “heartbroken” and he hoped to return to the Marvel Universe.

“Heartbroken. Of course,” Majors told TMZ. “I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked, though.”

TMZ then noted that Downey was being given a second chance to lead more Marvel movies despite his own history of legal troubles.

According to Variety.com, Downey was arrested in 1996 for possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded gun and given three years of probation.

“I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love … and [he’s] being allowed to work [his] art and be creative at that level. I didn’t really get that,” Majors said.

To his credit, Majors didn’t pull the race card.

Majors said he would return to Marvel in a heartbeat.

“Hell yeah! Hell yeah! I love him. I love Kang,” he says. “If that’s what the fans want, and that’s what Marvel wants then let’s roll. Hell yeah.”

50 Cent explains why he brought $3.5 million to cover shoot

50 Cent celebrated his 49th birthday with a cover shoot for The Hollywood Reporter on July 9 at Pier 59 Studios in NYC. The rap mogul and television producer brought $3.5 million in cash with him to the photo shoot.

According to THR, most of the cash was stuffed into two heavy black suitcases. Stacks of money were assembled into a square stool that he sat on while smoking a cigar.

Every now and then, as he poses for photos, he digs into the stash and adds a few more stacks to the table beside him — as those on set watch in awe, including the four security guards Jackson arrived with. The doors are locked shut, and the window shades are closed for maximum privacy.

Asked whether he withdrew the money from a bank, Fiddy says: “I just had that. I got more than that.”

“I was inspired [to bring it] by [Muhammad] Ali,” he said, referring to Ali’s 1964 Sports Illustrated cover. Ali, then 22, posed with $1 million in a bank vault on the cover.

“I was like, ‘I want to do a shoot like that,'” 50 Cent added.

50 Cent discussed his longstanding beef with disgraced music producer Sean Combs in the THR cover story.

Gilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagic

Fiddy is producing a documentary about Sean Combs’ legal troubles.

“I’ve been very vocal about not going to Puffy parties and doing shit like that. I’ve been staying out of that shit for years,” he said, referring to Combs’ infamous white parties and freak offs at his homes.

“It’s just an uncomfortable energy connected to it. First, he denied that it even happened, and then the [Cassie] tape comes out — so that means everything that n—a says is a lie,” he said. “When someone watches that, if they have a daughter and they can imagine her being under those circumstances, that shit is crazy. Like, they let him get away with it. With all the influence and power you have, the person you’re with is supposed to want to be a part of your life, not be forced.”

THR: What made you want to produce a docuseries on Diddy?

50 Cent: I’m the only one from hip-hop culture that’s produced quality projects. We do have a lot of talent within our culture where the talent has developed a comfortability in front of the camera, so they’re usually a part of it as an actor or driving force of why someone would watch the project; not the behind-the-scenes production, producing the whole project, so there’s a difference.

Over the years, you’ve made a point of not attending Diddy’s parties — was that because somebody told you the energy there was off? Or did you go to something that felt odd?

He asked to take me shopping. I thought that was the weirdest shit in the world because that might be something that a man says to a woman. And I’m just like, “Naw, I’m not fucking with this weird energy or weird shit,” coming off the way he was just moving. From that, I wasn’t comfortable around him.

The venue is surprisingly quiet as she raps.

Original post published on July 30, 2024 at 11:46 AM:

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is the latest celebrity to support Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign for president.

According to Billboard, Megan Thee Stallion will join Harris for a “special performance” at her campaign rally on Tuesday (July 30) in Atlanta.

However, Megan’s X account shows she is filming her music video for “Mamushi” in Japan on Tuesday. The rapper posted photos from the music video set on X this morning.

“Sis ain’t you supposed to be in ATL?” a fan asked her.

Over the weekend, Harris teamed up with NSYNC star Lance Bass to slam former President Trump in a TikTok video. “Hey Kamala, what are we gonna say to Donald Trump in November?” Bass asks Harris in the video. “Bye, bye, bye,” Harris sharply responded, referencing NSYNC’s hit song.

Harris became the presumptive nominee when President Joe Biden stepped down on July 21 after testing positive for Covid-19 for the 3rd time in 2 years.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president,” Biden, 81, said in a statement on X. “And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down,” he added.

The pressure on Biden to step aside came from former President Barack Obama and top Democrat lawmakers after his debate with former President Donald Trump failed to instill confidence in his supporters.
