Keyshia Cole dropped a new single titled "I Don't Wanna Be in Love" after participating in a Verzuz lip-sync battle with R&B singer Ashanti.

The new track comes a week after the mom-of-two released a music video for her single "2:35."

"I Don't Wanna Be" tells the emotional story of a woman who doesn't want to be that girl who breaks up another woman's relationship.

"We both got a situation, hesitation
Whenever we hook up, it's all love
Never any expectations
I know you went much further
I met your girl, never wanna hurt her
Never wanna be that chick, but lately, this is really feeling like torture."

Keyshia Cole's sister dragged her for making Ashanti wait an hour for their long-awaited Verzuz battle on Instagram Thursday night.

The lip-sync battle was canceled twice -- the first time because Ashanti tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

Keyshia brought out a surprise guest while lip-syncing to her 2005 hit song "Love." OT Genasis recored a parody track of "Love," titled "Never Knew," an ode to the Crips street gang.

Keyshia was not happy with the disrespect. Some shade was thrown after OT said nasty things about Keyshia's mother's drug addiction.

But it was all love when Keyshia brought the rapper out on Thursday.

One person who wasn't thrilled about the friendly duet was Keyshia's sister, Elite Noel, who expressed her displeasure on Instagram.

She captioned the video, "It went left !!!! And it ain't funny !!!!! I'm not backing down, who want it?"

Keyshia Cole has agreed not to seek child support or spousal support from Daniel Gibson in their divorce.

The former couple will share joint custody of 10-year-old Daniel Gibson and each will cover the costs of school tuition and other expenses for their son while he is with each of them.

In the court filing, obtained by The Blast, Cole and Gibson also agreed not to say anything bad about the other or their family members.

"The Court finds that both parties waives any right to current spousal support. No court shall have jurisdiction to order any spousal support for either party at any time," the settlement reads.

The court also found that each parent was independently wealthy and neither required financial resources from the other.

"Any reconciliation between the Parties shall not cancel, terminate‚ modify or waive any provisions of this Judgment unless the Parties so agree in writing. However, nothing in this subsection shall be construed to waive either Party's rights in community property accrued after a reconciliation."

On March 21, 2014, during an interview, Cole confirmed that she and Gibson, 34, had split after 3 years of marriage. She filed for divorce in 2017.

On August 1, 2019, Cole, 38, welcomed her second child, a son, with singer/songwriter Niko Khale, 24.

Keyshia Cole appeared on The Real daytime talk show that aired this week. Keyshia, 38, was there to promote her own talk show, One On One With Keyshia Cole.

The R&B Diva and mother of two shared the pros and cons of hosting her own talk show and the 14-year age difference between her and boytoy Nico.

Keyshia explained the excuse Nick Cannon gave her when he showed up 45 minutes late for a guest appearance on her show.

She said Nick told her, "'like I'm on my way to the airport and I had to get my bags,' and all that. And I was like, 'Nick, we don't care about that!'"

"Listen, if I've ever been late for anything, right, I apologize! Now I understand! Now I understand how serious, and, then like, we go through waiting for a guest," Keyshia told the ladies.

"‘Cause I'm used to being the artist and being like, 'Okay, I need my hair right. I need my lip right. I need my clothes right.' And not really taking into consideration what the talk show host or the radio host.

"I'm like - Nick Cannon was forty five minutes late, and, well, thank God my boyfriend was there because I was gonna have him - he's a, he's a lyricist and an artist. So, I had him on my first episode. And thank God! But, he was sweating bullets up there! Okay? He was like, I was asking him all kinds of questions, 'So, how is it to be with a woman like me?'

"He was like, 'Wait a minute! This is crazy!' So, then it was like Nick showed up, he could leave and was like, 'Thank God. It's like all over.' But, no, I mean it was cool because, um, you know - I mean - I appreciate Nick coming through and supportin', you know. He was one of - the first guest. So, that's, like, okay.
