Ryan Oubre wrote a lengthy Instagram post explaining why he divorced "Married at First Sight" star Clara Berghaus in July.
Oubre, who married flight attendant Clara on season 12, began his statement by saying he's "not here to debate anyone's feelings or emotions" and that "getting married to a stranger is indescribable."
While he stopped short of calling Berghaus a racist, Oubre suggested she was disrespectful of the Black culture.
"You can't truly be open to marry another race and not want to marry their culture (or at least at the minimum understand it)," he wrote, adding that the "Black experience and Black culture are not monolithic" and are "ever-evolving and ever-changing with time."
"What I can say is: walking into a family gathering and not speaking to anyone and scrolling through your phone will never fly and declining food (outside of a food allergy or avoidance) because you don't like the way it looks won't help either...
"by marrying into a different race/culture you inherently adopt parts of their identity" and "most importantly, your kids 100% will, and your kids will need you to help navigate it."
He wrote, "it's possible (all too often) to not be racist, while still being completely unaware" and that it is an "example of not understanding Black America."

NeNe Leakes' husband Gregg Leakes has lost his long battle with stage 3 colon cancer. He was 66.
Gregg Leakes is most notably known for appearing alongside his wife on 12 seasons of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The family issued a statement via publicist and family friend Ernest Dukes:
"Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart. After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife Nene Leakes. We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family & allow them to mourn in private during this very very difficult time."
The couple's 22-year-old son, Brentt, posted a message on his Instagram Story, encouraging others to spend quality time with loved ones.
"Spend time with your loved ones every chance you get. Time is so... valuable dog. I can't express it. I'm learning the hard way watching my dad fight every day.
"Please go create memories with ya people."
NeNe, 53, revealed in June that Gregg - who was first diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2018 - was battling the disease again after going into remission.

Last month, the TV personality canceled a planned gig hosting "The Talk." She explained she'd received happy news that Gregg was being discharged from the hospital after undergoing a surgical procedure.
"I was suppose to be hosting The Talk today. But I got good news that Gregg was coming home after being hospitalized 6 weeks."
Former Love & Hip-Hop: Miami has been arrested on domestic violence and kidnapping charges.
Christopher Michael Harty, aka Prince, was taken into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 11, in Miami, Florida The Sun reports.
In addition to domestic violence charges, Prince, 31, faces charges of kidnapping and battery. He was also charged with less-serious offenses, including possession of drugs without a prescription and disorderly conduct.
Prince was among the original cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami when the series premiered in 2018, but he was edited out of the third season. He has not been confirmed to return for the delayed fourth season.
Prince has continued releasing music since being booted from the series, and he released his most recent single in June.
Before falling afoul of the law, Prince was due to appear at a press conference on Wednesday night to promote his Celebrity Boxing match against TikTok star HolyGod, which is scheduled for October 2, but he was a no show.
In May, TMZ reported that Prince was involved in a physical altercation with rapper Tory Lanez, the same star who was charged with felony assault after he allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot last summer.
The self-proclaimed "Fresh Prince of South Beach" was born and raised in South Miami to Jamaican parents.
Eboni K. Williams says don't blame her for Real Housewives of New York's low ratings this season. The ratings are so low that the RHONY reunion show has been put on hold until August 5.
Producers had hoped Eboni, the show's first Black cast member, would add some color to the show and perhaps attract more Black viewers this season.
But the opposite happened. The show lost viewers.
The April 6 episode drew just 764,000 viewers, making it the show's lowest-rated episode ever, according to DailyMail.com.
Ebony is accused of having a "preachy" attitude and being passive aggressive while engaging in race-related conversations with the cast.
Eboni said the racial topics are important conversations to have.
"My answer is simply this. A — I'm a little bit of a preacher and I wear that as a badge of honor. And I'm a little bit of a teacher too," she said on a recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live."
She added that she was trying to make "authentic connections" with her new castmates.
She has had heated discussions with castmates Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer, who said she didn't understand how Eboni talks about "suffering" when she lives a life of privilege as a well-heeled Black woman who is far removed from the Black struggle.
Kim Kardashian failed the "baby bar" exam for a second time after failing the first-year bar exam last year.
Kim studied law under a program that substitutes learned experience in a legal setting for classroom experience.
The 40-year-old reality TV star failed to reach the minimum 560 passing grade required when she took the exam for the first time last year.

She tried again in November 2020, and revealed the results on the finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians on Thursday night.
As she accessed the results online (with her legal team on the phone), Kim declared: "I failed! This is really annoying."
Kim's test score - 463 - was worse than her first test, when she got 474.
"Total scaled score: 463. I pretty much got the same thing. I mean, a little bit worse," said the mom-of-four who never attended college a day in her life.
She later tried to stay positive, insisting she wasn't going to let her failures discourage her from taking the baby bar exam again.
"It is what it is," said Kim. "I know I just have to not stress about it. There are so many other f--king stressful things going on, I just have to do better in the future."
Later, Kim's half sister Khloe Kardasian reminded her that she has a lot going on, including her pending divorce from Kanye West, who quickly moved on with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk.
Khloe added that it would have been a "miracle" if Kim had passed the baby bar this time around.
"I wanted that miracle," Kim cried. "I believe in miracles!"
She added that she planned to take the exam again in June (2021), and would be taking "at least" four weeks off to study beforehand.
Dr. Heavenly Kimes was criticized on Twitter.com for "promoting slavery" by urging people to work for free to gain valuable experience.
Dr. Heavenly, star of Bravo TV's Married to Medicine, runs a successful dental practice in a suburb north of Atlanta.
The reality TV star took time out of her busy schedule to drop employment advice to her Twitter followers who have enjoyed a year off from work while drawing Covid unemployment benefits.

Dr. Heavenly, pictured right with co-star Jacqueline Walters, suggested people on unemployment should work for free -- since they're already getting paid by the government to sit at home and do nothing.
"#Job101 work for free or for lesser pay. Prove yourself to your employer! Trust me if you are good, they will hire you with top pay in no time!"
Dr. Heavenly, who worked as an unpaid intern, urged people to work for free to gain valuable experience on the job.
However, her advice was not appreciated by many.
Unemployment benefits are scheduled to end in September.
Colton Underwood slammed social media questions about his sex life after coming out as homosexual last month.
The 29-year-old former "Bachelor" star was asked via Instagram to explain how many men he has "done things with," prompting him to lash out at questions about his personal life.
Colton posted a Q+A bubble while he was on a flight, telling his 2 million Instagram followers: "Ask me a question."
Some of Colton's fans flatly refused to believe he is really LGBT.
He bristled when one fan wrote "How many guys have you done things with?".
"Let me vent for a second. Questions like this are inappropriate. I understand you might know me from the bachelor where I shared a lot about my personal life. I have set boundaries and I'm respecting myself in a way that will lead me to a healthier life."
He added just because he claimed to be a virgin Bachelor doesn't give strangers permission to question his sex life with men.
"I never asked to be labeled as the virgin bachelor and have people feel the security to ask me questions about my sex life. It just happened and during that time I thought I had no other choice but to just go with it the network would be mad."
Social media users, who accused Colton of being "gay for play," called him a liar and a narcissist.
One user wrote: "Another privileged gay moaning. Get a grip there are people way worse off than you. I for one couldn't care less what he does just go away and start living your life in private."
Another wrote: "Why?! Your entire platform was about being a virgin when you were pretending to like women. Now that it turns out it's men, why is that not ok??"
And a third wrote: "It's okay for him to experiment with men PRIOR to become the Bachelor, and it's okay for him to do a show about coming out...but it's not okay to ask him if he is saving his virginity with men or if he has been active. Colton, GO AWAY."
Kandi Burruss opened up about possibly leaving the Bravo reality show Real Housewives of Atlanta after 12 seasons.
Bravo reportedly booted original cast member NeNe Leakes off the show due to constant conflicts with the cast.
With NeNe gone, Cynthia Bailey (right) is the oldest cast member at 54. Cynthia is pictured at a 2017 event with RHOA cast members (L-R) Kandi, Kenya Moore and Shereé Whitfield.
Despite getting along well with her colleagues, Kandi, 44, is considering moving on as well. But she would rather leave on her own terms and not be fired like NeNe.
"You just contemplate, like, I don't know, 'When is your time?'" she told The Jasmine Brand on Thursday. "It's not like it's not like a definite answer, you know what I mean."
The mother-of-three said she does "enjoy being a part of the show" but she's tired of all the shenanigans. "It is stressful at times. It is a lot going on, you know, but I do love the fans. I love the support of the fans."

In April, Kandi (pictured with hubby Todd Tucker) told Access Hollywood that she has been considering leaving "RHOA."
"I'm always contemplating when is my time for me to make a move," she said. "For me, I've had a great relationship with the network, so I don’t think it will ever be a situation where it would be a bad thing — at least, I hope it wouldn’t be."
Kandi joined the cast in season 2.

He announced their breakup in a now-deleted tweet in February.
"I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes and it will never happen again. I'm walking away before I End up in jail over some dumb shit. Nobody is worth my freedom!!!"
Erica, a former bisexual, clapped back:
"Since you always run to social media like a little girl I might as well join in. I absolutely agree with you on this. You are the most selfish, vain and inconsiderate person. And not just with me but your only daughter!"
Normally, a marriage wouldn't survive after a wife publicly outs her husband as a man with feminine tendencies.
Thankfully, they realize how important it is for their infant daughter to be raised by two parents of the opposite sex.
