Actress, singer and former Miss America Vanessa Williams, right, is in New York with her mother Helen and daughter Melanie to attend Fashion week. Williams, 50, owes her entire career to a well-publicised lesbian romp with another model in leaked photos that appeared in Penthouse magazine in 1983. The scandal forced Williams to relinquish her Miss America crown to runner-up Suzette Charles.
