Louis Vuitton artistic director and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh died Sunday in Chicago, Ill, after a private 2-year battle with cancer. He was 41.

In 2019, Abloh was diagnosed with malignant primary cardiac angiosarcoma, an extremely rare tumor of the heart.

His death was announced in a tweet by luxury group LVMH and the Off-White label on Sunday.

"We are all shocked after this terrible news. Virgil was not only a genius designer, a visionary, he was also a man with a beautiful soul and great wisdom," Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive of LVMH said in a statement.

The designer was the first Black man to head a major European fashion house when Louis Vuitton named him as menswear designer in 2018.

Abloh graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He received his Master of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2006.

He first gained fame in the mid-2000s through his affiliation with rap producer Ye, formerly Kanye West, after the two met at a Chicago print shop where Abloh worked.

Abloh interned at Fendi in the same class as Ye in 2009. He worked in Fendi's Rome, Italy office, where he and Ye began to collaborate on designs.

In 2010, Ye appointed Abloh as creative director of his DONDA agency. In 2011, Ye hired Abloh as the artistic director for his and Jay Z's album Watch the Throne.

Abloh founded his second fashion house Off-White in 2013. He launched Off-White's women's wear line in 2014.

In 2018, Abloh designed a custom Off-White gown and veil for Hailey Bieber's wedding day. On the veil, he included his famous quotation marks design around the words "till death do us part".

In 2019, LVMH reported a 20% growth in sales attributed in part to Abloh's appointment as artistic director.

In July 2021, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton announced it acquired a 60% stake in Off-White, with Abloh retaining 40%.

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, ended his decade-long beef with rapper Drake. The two superstars have been feuding for years.

On Tuesday, Ye shared a photo of himself posing with Drake at a party at Drake's Toronto mansion.

Ye captioned the image with an emoji of a dove with a leaf in its beak - typically a symbol of death - to indicate their beef is dead.

"You have reached your destination," Drake wrote in the caption of a video that shows comedian Dave Chappelle speaking at the same party.

According to Yahoo! News, their decade-long beef began when Ye cut Drake's verses from his hit song song, "All Of The Lights" in 2010.

In 2011, Drake shaded Ye and Jay-Z's joint album Watch The Throne. "I heard some other guys are coming out with an album, too," he said on Westwood.

"There's two other rappers that are coming out with an album together. I don't know where they got that idea."

Also in 2011, Drake told the Source magazine he wanted to be "better" than Ye.

"when I was a kid trying to figure out what I liked, it was Ye who I related to the most. He was an artist, in every sense, from his cover art to his music. Now, I would say, he is [a] really great competitor... and friend, at the same time... My goal is to surpass everything he's accomplished. I don't want to be as good as Kanye, I want to be better."

In 2014, Drake dissed Kanye's album Yeezus in an interview with Rolling Stone. "There were some real questionable bars on there," he said.

Ye reportedly responded to the interview during a concert, saying:

"They always be trying to pit ****** against each other and it ain't going down no more. So, tonight, it ain't none of that. We love Drake."

In 2015, Ye called out Drake's collaboration with Nike in the song "Facts", while Drake mocked Ye about the size of his pool in "Summer Sixteen", with the lyrics, "Ye's pool is nice, mine's just bigger's what I'm saying."

In 2018, rapper Pusha T - who is signed to Ye's record label - released a Drake diss track, "The Story of Adidon", in which he alleges that Drake has a secret son. Drake later confirmed he was a father, with lyrics on his number one album Scorpion in June 2018.

Drake's producer J Prince later hinted that Ye told Pusha about Drake's son -- which Ye has denied.

Kanye -- a father of 4 -- tweeted: "I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha. I don't play with the idea of people's children after I spoke to Wiz a few years earlier."

In September 2018, a fan tweeted a theory that Drake slept with Ye's estranged wife, Kim Kardashian. "Drake's been telling us for months now he slept with Kim K, we just haven't been listening".

Kim denied the rumors and Ye lashed out at Drake on Twitter, posting 18 tweets in a row.

Ye also took to Instagram to slam Drake for not denying the rumors.

"People making rumors or thinking you f****** my wife and you're not saying nothing... that don't sit well with my spirit. You know, if I had a girlfriend from Chicago, her name was Renita, and you was married to Rihanna, I wouldn't make no song called 'Riri.' So when you're like, 'I don't know where it came,' you too smart for that bro."

In December 2019, Drake told the Rap Radar podcast he had no interest in squashing his beef with Pusha T.

"That's where all of this stems from," he said.

"It's all rooted in that situation, yes. I think that he definitely recruited a guy with a similar dislike for me no matter what he says in interviews... I could never ever ever ever turn my back on the things that I've said about Ye in a positive light, and I still feel all those same things."

In November 2021, Kanye changed his name to "Ye," -- an apparent nod to Drake who always refers to him by that name.

In a video shared on Twitter, Ye said:

"I'm making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it's time to put it to rest."

Ye, formerly Kanye West, says he regrets signing rapper Big Sean (right) to a record deal. Big Sean was discovered by Ye and signed with Ye's GOOD Music in 2007 after they met at a rap battle in 2005.

But now, Ye says he regrets signing the 33-year-old rapper, who did not live up to his full potential.

Ye, 44, sat down with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN for Thursday's episode of "Drink Champs."

When asked to choose between Pu$ha T and Big Sean, Ye called them both "sellouts" for not supporting "their boy" and being willful tools of the Democratic Party.

But Ye suggested he deserves to die for signing Sean to a record deal.

Sean responded on Twitter, suggesting Ye is a hypocrite.

Sean wrote: "Was just wit this man, he ain't say none of that!!! And this was after the interview! I'm dying laughing at you."

Sean shared photos of himself with Ye at an event after the "Drink Champs" show.

A former background dancer for Ye, formerly Kanye West, is singing his praises after he reportedly saved her from a potntial gang rape.

In a Tiktok video, the Aussie dancer, named Maria, recalled Ye saving her from his aggressive crew of hard legs following a concert.

"Of all the crazy headlines that go up about Mr. Kanye West, I will always have a soft spot for him," Maria said. "I genuinely think he's a good dude and that's because of a personal experience I had with him."

She went on to explain that she was hired as a background dancer for Ye "many, many years ago" when he visited Australia on tour.

Neil Mockford/GC Images

"He came to town and he hired like, twenty Australian girls to be his ballerinas."

Maria said the dancers went back to Ye's rented penthouse with his crew. They were drinking and partying out on the veranda when things took a scary turn.

"[Ye] was inside on his laptop doing something and a bunch of us were out on the veranda, dancing and drinking and all that sort of stuff. We were all sitting around and a bunch of the guys that were like, [Ye}'s little posse, were like, standing around and they were like dancing and twerking...

"Of all the girls, I think I was probably the thickest, right, so, I don't know, I'm generalizing here, but I think that the Americans like think girls..."

Maria said the thugs started demonstrating the way they wanted her to twerk on them. When she failed to comply with their orders they became aggressive.

"One of [Ye]'s dancers, she was, like, grinding on one of the guys. And I was like, oh, I don't want to do that, and... there was a lot of pressure. I could feel the walls closing in on me. I felt really, really uncomfortable and I kept saying no."

Maria said she felt unsafe and intimidated.

"And then, out of nowhere, [Ye] literally, like, burst through them, and he was like, "Bro, she said no... She said no, so stop asking her to do it!"

Maria said Ye stayed with her and reassure her that she didn't have to do anything she didn't want to do."

Chris Brown and Soulja Boy are among the critics taking shots at Ye's daring new haircut.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, posted a photo of his new haircut on social media that went viral and left many fans questioning the meaning behind the cut.

Soulja Boy joined in the fun by reweeting Ye's photo, along with the caption: "Somebody f**ked [Ye's] head up."

Soulja Boy is still mad that Ye left his verse off his DONDA album.

Another bitter celeb who was left off the DONDA album - Chris Brown - also had something to say about Ye's new haircut.

Chris reposted a series of viral memes on Instagram, including one that suggested blind R&B legend Stevie Wonder cut Ye's hair.

From this day forth, mega producer Kanye West will be known as simply "Ye."

Ye wore a disguise the morning after attending the wedding of Géraldine Guyot and Alexandre Arnault on Oct. 16, 2021 in Venice. Italy.

According to TMZ, a Los Angeles judge approved Ye's name change application on Monday.

Ye, who filed the application on August 24, said he was making the change for personal reasons.

In a 2018 interview, after he released his album, Ye, he told radio host Big Boy that "ye" was the most commonly used word in the Bible. "Ye" is a an archaic form of "you."

Ye, 44, was born Kanye Omari West on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ye and his estranged wife Kim Kardashian were spotted together as she headed to host "Saturday Night Live" in New York City on Oct. 9.

According to Page Six, Ye is dumping all of his assets in an attempt to live a simpler life.

He recently listed his 3,800-acre Wyoming ranch for $11 million -- at a loss. And last week, Kardashian won the $60 million Hidden Hills mansion the two once shared.

Kanye West posted X-rays of his son, Saint West's fractured right arm on Instagram on Saturday.

The mega producer shared the X-rays in a post without a caption, prompting speculation that he suspects child neglect.

Kanye posted his son's X-rays two weeks after his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, shared photos of Saint's broken arm on her Instagram.

She shared an Instagram Story photo of Saint sitting in a wheelchair at the hospital with an ice pack on his arm.

She captioned the images on her Instagram story: "Who do you think cried more today? My baby boy broke his arm in a few places today. I'm not ok".

However, the X-ray showed only one fracture in Saint's right forearm.

Kanye's silence on the subject spoke volumes, according to rumormongers who believe he suspects child neglect.

One IG user noted that Kim is not always attentive to her children whenever she goes live on Instagram:

"I already knew this was gonna happen when he was hanging off the back and climbing on Psalms high chair while Kim was pretending to cook Cup-a-noodles... And she was just letting him lean on it and climb so of COURSE he was gonna fall and break his arm. It was inevitable because she doesn't tell them 'Don't do that. Climb down. Your gonna fall.' She just let's them fall all over the place!"

Others say Kanye might be gathering evidence for a child custody battle.

Kim Kardashian's 5-year-son son was rushed to a hospital after breaking his arm in several places.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was "not OK" after taking Saint West to hospital for treatment on Thursday after he sustained multiple breaks to his right arm.

She shared an Instagram Story photo of Saint sitting in a wheelchair at the hospital while icing the injury. The image was followed by a shot of the boy cradling his injured arm after the cast had been set.

She captioned the images on her Instagram story: "Who do you think cried more today? My baby boy broke his arm in a few places today. I'm not ok".

She then shared another photo of the youngster's arm in a cast with the caption: "Poor baby."

The Skims mogul did not share details of how Saint broke his arm. Hospital social workers are required to speak with children without a parent present in cases where child abuse is suspected.

Remember when you were a child and your mother used a fake/different voice when talking to strangers than she did when talking to you?

Kim Kardashian's eight-year-old daughter North West hilariously called out her mom for using a "different" voice on social media.

North - who Kim shares with estranged husband Kanye West - interrupted her mother's make-up video on Instagram with a hilarious question about her influencer voice.

"Why do you talk different?" North asked.

Kim, who was caught off guard by the child's honest question, responded:

"For my videos I'm the same human being. I don't talk different. How do I talk different? Guys, do you think I talk different when I'm talking about contour?"

North and her 9-year-old cousin Penelope Disick both agreed she did talk differently on camera.

Kim - who also has son Saint, 5, daughter Chicago, three, and son Psalm, 2, with Kanye - asked the precocious pair how she sounds, and North gave an over-the-top impression of her voice, while Penelope giggled.

Her niece nodded when the 40-year-old reality star asked: "Is that how I sound Penelope?"

Drake's new album Certified Lover Boy topped Kanye West's DONDA in the battle for streaming supremacy.

Drake dropped CLB three days after Universal Music released DONDA without Kanye's permission.

Roy Rochlin/Getty Images

Word has it that Kanye delayed DONDA's release date because he feared being outshined by Drake's new offering.

The "Hotline Bling" rapper recently traded disses with Kanye as they both prepared to drop their new releases.

Tony Forte/WENN

The Canadian superstar pummeled Kanye in lyrics on his track "7am on Bridle Path."

"I could give a f--k about who designing your sneakers and tees
Have somebody put you on a Gildan, you play with my seed
Trust me, there's some sh-t you really gotta come see to believe
That's why your people not believers, they all leavin' ya
That's why you buyin' into the hype that the press feedin' ya

You know the fourth level of jealousy is called media
    Isn't that an ironic revelation?
Give that address to your driver, make it your destination
Instead of just a post out of desperation."

Certified Lover Boy is currently number one on the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums Chart. CLB crushed DONDA's listening figures, according to Alpha Data, the analytics provider behind the Rolling Stone charts.

In just three days, Certified Lover Boy received 430 million on-demand audio streams in the U.S. Meanwhile, DONDA pulled in just under 423 million listens in its first eight days of streaming.

Certified Lover Boy isn't Drake's biggest album to date. 2018's Scorpion, featuring hit single "Sandra's Rose," racked up more than 725 million streams in its first week of release.
