PICS: Rocko Da Don Meet & Greet at DTLR, 3/18
About 200 fans turned out to meet Rocko Da Don and buy his debut album “Self Made” yesterday at DTLR in Atlanta. Rocko’s family, including his fiancee Monica, his sons, Malik, Lil’ Rocko, baby Romelo, his mom, and his sisters Romeka and Kenya Hill, nieces Nakyra and Kayla, as well as industry friends, came out to support. Later that night, a sell-out crowd packed E.S.S.O. nightclub to watch Rocko perform. “Self Made” is in stores now!

Monica looks great. Her baby is adorable.
First off, Monica looks beautiful standing next to that Benz. They are a beautiful family. The boys are little cuties.No disrespect at all because Monica is one of my favorite singers.I defended her when people we’re talking reckles about how she dresses her son **which is so cute btw**.In my oponion they need to get married. I know some people don’t agree and don’t think a piece of “paper” matter’s but it does.We as Black women need to be more then just “BABIES MAMAS” jmo…Blessings go out to this Beautiful Black Family..and Major Props go out to Rocko for showing people that there are Black Men who take care of their kids…

They’re such a beautiful family, The boys are adorable but why doesn’t rocko ever smile in any of his pictures?.. But, I haven’t heard his album as of yet, Although I have heard “Thugs Need Love Too” which I listen non-stop and of course “Umma Do Me”.. I will continue to support him though..

Ohhhh Sandra you are so wrong on so many levels… first off as GAGIRL73 stated if they were to get married at that time would Monica merely be the step mother but since they AREN’T married she is simply Malik’s father girlfriend/fiancé/baby mother. And I am a mother and you never know what the situation may have been and why Malik reside with his father and his girlfriend/fiancé/baby mother. Malik is in his pre teens very well may have been the case where the mother couldn’t handle him he was getting in trouble, him living with his father was better for them financially and the list goes on. But just because he resides with his father doesn’t mean that you can discredit the mother and give her title to someone else. I wish that my kids may go stay with their father for what ever reason and a B might call his girlfriend my kids’ mother. Even if the mother is absent Monica is still not that child mother and she is only his father girlfriend/fiancé/baby mother. You can tell those of us that have kids and those that don’t (YOU). And Monica seems to be a sweet person but she is entirely too ghetto!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to take away from the topic, howsomuchever—I have to disagree with you Sandra. It is not a sign of respect when a stepchild refers to the father’s girlfriend as “mom.” Girlfriends come and go and can be changed like panties. I am a stepmom and though we are married, I wouldn’t expect his kids to call me mom. It their mother falls off the face of this earth (I’m not having bad thoughts…) then and only then would I find it to be appropriate. But girlfriend? Nope. She’s STILL my daddy’s baby mamma.

I just spoke to Monica and she told me that some of her friends made her aware of the comments and she wanted to clarify one thing: Malik does not reside with them but he is very much a part of their family and a part of Monica’s children’s lives.
Monica said, “Regardless of whether we are married or not we have two children and they are Malik’s brothers and I feel it is absolutely my duty to make sure that they have a great relationship at all times for the rest of their lives.
Because they are not binded by something superficial they are binded by blood, and I wouldn’t want anyone to have the misconception that he calls me ‘mom.’ He calls me ‘Mo.’ I’ve known him since he was 4 years old. We have a great relationship and nothing or no one can ever change that.
I want to keep him and the boys close but I want to clarify for the people that were concerned about his mother being disrespected. because Malik and I have a great relationship and so does his mother and I.
I’m a mother first and I would never disrespect Malik’s mother because it is our jobs to keep our sons close and in a happy healthy relationship amongst each other.
