T.I. to remain on house arrest for one year

Atlanta rapper T.I. plead guilty to three weapons charges in federal court in Atlanta on Thursday. T.I. will remain on house arrest until his sentencing hearing a year from now.

If T.I. abides by the conditions set forth in his plea agreement, he will receive a prison sentence of one year plus one day. Because the sentence is longer than one year, Harris will be eligible to earn 15 percent time off for good behavior. Harris also was fined $100,000.

T.I. was accompanied to court by his pregnant girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and his entire Grand hustle family. Comedian Lil’ Duval and a few others exited the court house with fists raised in victory. T.I. appeared relaxed and relieved as he spoke to the assembled media outside the court house.

The fact that their boss won’t spend the next 10 years in jail has lifted the funeral parlor atmosphere around the Grand Hustle facilities.

I was wondering how that was going to work, but I still don’t get it completely. I thought he had to go around the country speaking to kids. How’s he going to do that on house arrest? Actually now that I think about it I could see how that could work. Just like he has to pay for his in-house correction officer team now, I guess he could take them on the road and being on house arrest, I know he’ll be more than happy to do it. No matter how luxurious it is, prison is prison even when you are allowed to have live in booty.

There has never been a limitation on how many kids T.I. can have visiting him. Sometimes he has a house FULL of kids, lol. It’s the adult visitors that have restrictions placed on them.

Our justice system is a shame……He had multiple hardcore weapons in his home with his family, and friends. They may have been locked up but you never know what can transpire, especially with children in the house. I understand protecting your family and having a pistol safely safely put away, but machine guns and damn near “Rambo” weapons. IDk, hopefully this is a wake up call from GOD. Good Luck T!

Doesn’t make sense to me. I guess they aren’t making examples of celebrities anymore… I don’t care how much money a person has, they shouldn’t be able to get away with stuff that a person with less money couldn’t. Justice was NOT served! As far as Michael Vick is concerned, justice was served as it should have been with TI. I hope TI has learned his lesson and is very thankful because I would hate to see him become more arrogant because he beat this case. MY OPINION!

So you can be a 7x Felon..(that he brags about in songs). Get caught purchasing SILENCERS (which are ILLEGAL) and from what I know if you get caught with a GUN that is AUTOMATICALLY FED TIME…and you get OFF with 1 year house arrest and $100,000 Fine???? Not only that 1 Year in JAIL (not prison) from what I heard unless I’m wrong!?!?! Either Way there is no way he should of gotten off that easy!

Man he has great lawyers, I’m glad they worked out a plea deal for him and a great one at that! anything having to do with the feds is risky trying to fight, and thats especially if they have stacked up evidence against you.

Well Tip is obviously doing something right, somewhere deep down in his heart for God to be showing so much favor on him. If God is pleased we should be the same and let the man be. He got off, scott free, and thats that. It was the will of God. Should he slip again God will be there again to remind him of how powerful he is and he will continue to be humbled until he gets it right. I think I’m about the only one who is sick and tired of T.I.
Thanks to the grace and mercy of God he gets away with a light weight deal. I still don’t think he deserves praise like it’s something grand he did to justify his actions. The homeboys raising their fist in the air like justice was served. Well not really. If you play in the dirt you get dirty. He better count his blessing and sit at home thinking real hard about change. HELL…I would PUT MYSELF on house arrest for another year to avoid nonsense.

T.I got off easy.This just goes to show you what you do in the dark will eventually come to in the light. Now all I wonder is after prison will he be able to leave this “ghetto mentality” in the hood? Probably not, but there is always hope for change…maybe after exchanging “butt darts” with his cell mate that might knock some common sense into him!!

It is kind of unfair that he got off easy, but it’s nice that he won’t be locked away so long that he can’t watch his kids grow. I’m so glad for the kids. And I think he learned his lesson here, genuinely.
