Why was Mayweather throwing FAKE $100 bills last night?
Now see, this is some real NIGGA mess right here! Note to rappers: If you can’t afford to throw REAL hundred dollar bills, how about throwing ones instead?
A photographer was almost arrested at a gas station this morning after trying to pay for gas with one of the counterfeit $100 bills that boxer Floyd Mayweather tossed in the air at Club PURE last night.
According to the photographer (and several others in attendance) Mayweather’s “boys” were handing him the stacks of hundreds.
There is speculation that one of his “boys” switched out the real hundreds for the counterfeit hundreds and kept the real cash for himself. I would be inclined to believe that maybe Floyd didn’t know what his boys were doing, except that this has happened before!
Some club patrons in Las Vegas also complained about Mayweather tossing counterfeit bills earlier this year. We’re not talking fake bills of the copy machine variety – we’re talking print shop quality counterfeit bills.
This BS could have jeopardized the photographer’s chances for a good job later on if the gas station owner called the police on him. So BEWARE if you catch a hundred dollar bill in the clubs – it just might be fake!

Most boxers don’t make a lot of money. Only the big stars and most of them don’t end up bankrupt. Anyway, There’s a huge difference between George Foreman and Floyd Mayweather jr though. Floyd makes more money in ONE fight than George made in his whole career. Floyd is one of those superstar fighters of this modern era who is arguably the best boxer in the world and is VERY rich. Floyd is set for life unless he’ll do some crazy things and buy 50 cars 10 houses and a couple of submarines and airplanes. I’m not a big fan of all this “make it rain” in the club but at the same time I’m sure eveybody who’s there and party with these guys have a good time. It’s not that serious. I’m sure Floyd knows what he’s doing he’s just having some fun.

Mike Tyson is an exception to the rule. He’s a nutcase who can’t even handle himself and the man has some serious mental issues. That’s not the case with Floyd. Make it rain in the club every now and then is not a big deal as far as his money, he’ll not end up broke.

Nigerians are infamous for having Owambe parties, which is a lavish party that last all night (literally). These parties are usually held in honor of a particular event (ie. graduations, marriages, memorials, child christenings, just to name a few). Spraying literally means to “shower” the celebrant and their relatives with money. So basically the celebrant(s) are dancing to the live Juju music all night and the guests are spraying them for the majority of the time – women, men and children participate in spraying. So by the end of the night it’s not uncommon for the celebrant to collect a couple thousand dollars. Most, (how should I say it?), progressive Nigerians are embarrassed by this practice and consider it frivilous and senseless. Anyway class that concludes our lesson for the day… lol
Oh and MOCHAMOMMY, I feel ya girl, you might need to find you a Nigerian party to attend this weekend because after a few drinks many of “Nigerian Ballas” start spraying the, as they call them, “lovely ladies” too. Just not my cup of tea, but I’m def. not above my man making it rain or spraying me when we’re playing “stripper”.

I think its tacky and if it ever happened in any club that I was in, I would know its time to head out. Nothing cute about getting a bunch of dressed up drunk folks scrabbling for money on the floor, not cute at all. Now hit your homeless area in town and hand out the dollars to those that don’t have, that I am ok with. The other is just some old clownishness.

If you took offense to my comment please know that certainly wasn’t my intent. To answer your question, I have great friends who are by no means fake – I’m too real for that. Don’t get me wrong I have come accross some “fake azz Nigerians”, as you so eloquently put it, but I don’t associate with them. I know people are really sensitive when it comes to their cultural practices/customs/tradtions, I’m sure that’s why Soludo and his supporters received so much opposition when he introduced a bill before lawmakers to ban spraying naira in Nigeria. Like anything else this is a matter of opinion,I just happen to be of the oppinion that spraying, like making it rain, is a form of exageratted celebration and self-glorification.
