American pop singer Lizzo was caught off guard when the paparazzi shouted for her to move out of their way at the amfAR Gala in France on Thursday, May 21.

Lizzo and her longtime beau, Myke Wright, were walking down the steps at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc when two members of the paparazzi shouted at her to move. “Lady in blue MOVE!” they yelled.

Lizzo seemed stunned by the request and quickly descended the steps.

Apparently, the paparazzi wanted photos of another celebrity behind Lizzo.

The 38-year-old rapper, songwriter, and actress is best known for her third studio album, Cuz I Love You (2019), which spawned the hit singles “Juice” and “Truth Hurts.”

The singer, born Melissa Jefferson, wore a beautiful azure blue gown designed by Robert Wun with ring piercings through prosthetic cups in the bodice.

A diamond necklace dangled between the cups and she wore diamonds around her neck. The diamonds totaled 3,161 carats!

She accessorized with matching azure blue velvet gloves with faux hands and beaded accents.

Lizzo performed “Don’t Make Me Love U” and “About Damn Time” at the amfAR gala, held at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France. The gala raised $20 million for AIDS research this year.

Lizzo’s much-anticipated album, B-tch, is due for release on June 5.

“I’m just so excited. I’m trying to bring back good, clean fun. Like, I just want to have fun again, people need to dance, people need to laugh,” she said.
