Dalton Eatherly, known as live-streamer “Chud the Builder,” had his bond revoked by a Tennessee judge on Wednesday, June 17. Eatherly, who is popular for making racially confrontational content, is charged with attempted murder. He is also charged with three misdemeanors in Nashville.

Judge Melissa Blackburn revoked Eatherly’s bond, citing violent tweets he made on social media.

The judge said she revoked his bond on the three Nashville cases, “Based on what I’ve seen on social media and Mr. Eatherly’s behavior.”

Eatherly was arrested on May 13 following a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse. He is accused of pointing a gun at a military veteran and shouting the N-word while streaming live.

During the confrontation, Eatherly shot and wounded the man. Prosecutors presented video footage that showed the confrontation and the shooting.

Eatherly’s supporters raised $350,000 toward his $1.25 million bond. In addition to attempted murder, he faces charges of resisting arrest and running out on a $400 restaurant bill at Bob’s Steak & Chophouse inside the Omni Hotel in Nashville.

Wednesday’s hearing was initially scheduled as a preliminary hearing. However, Assistant District Attorney Jeff Walker asked the judge to revoke his bond. The judge granted the motion.

Eatherly’s attorney, Jacob Fendley, filed a motion to dismiss the charges. “Right now we’re talking about the motion to revoke his bail,” Judge Blackburn said.

Blackburn set a preliminary hearing for June 25. Eatherly will remain in jail until the hearing.
