Greg Street: ‘I just want my little brother [JD] to make bigger moves’

V-103 DJ and producer Greg Street is not backing off from statements he made about Island Urban Music president Jermaine “JD” Dupri in a controversial video circulating the Internet.
EDIT: I’m not backing off of statements. I just told the truth. I said what I said & it’s true. If they wanna send somebody to get at me or kill me. I bet JD don’t show up & that’s what this is all about. Put that up there.
In a statement to Sandrarose.com, Greg Referred to JD as his “little brother”, saying he made his point and now he wants to end the beef and move on.
Says Greg Street:
I just want my little brother to make bigger moves. He has done a lot for Atlanta, but he could be bigger in Atlanta. JD passed on [signing] TLC, Outkast, Luda, Nelly, Dream & a whole lot more. Just 2 of those bigger artists would’ve made So So Def the Motown of our time. I know he’s mad & probably wants me dead, but still. It is what it is, the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Radio mix show follows Greg Street’s show on V-103 on Saturday nights here in Atlanta. The show can be heard live on V-103.com.
JD was rumored to be preparing a videotaped rebuttal to Greg Street’s video, but now it doesn’t look like that will happen. To facilitate the peace between the two Atlanta icons, I have removed Greg’s video from my site.
Greg Street was a guest on the Wendy Williams Experience on WBLS today.

I am glad JD is going to do a video respnse instead of trying to write a response.. Have to read the sh** he writes over and over again trying to make sense of it.. He reminds me of our favorite “Sweetface”..
JD wants to sign a person who he can create not someone who knows what they want to do with their music.. That is probably why he didn’t sign those people Street mentioned..

the truth is what it is. if they’re as tight as one would perceive then JD wont hold a grudge or try to bash greg street.

TO ME IT SEEMS LIKE GREG IS TRYING TO UPHOLD HIS “GOOD DAY” IMAGE.
Why does he care what JD does with his business? I mean talking smack about JD had to have caused some trouble for him. I thought JD did something to him personally.
See what happens when you make a youtube clip in the heat of the moment…you have to start back tracking! I’m not saying Greg Street wasn’t justified in giving his take on JD but he was wrong for the way he went about it! That’s not how you go at your “little brother” he should have talked to him about it because even if he thought JD was wrong for what he said about DJ’s…JD never said his name for him to be so defensive!
I think some of what he said got the producers to pull him to the corner and this is the result of it….JD did pass up on a lot of great people though.
I’m just GLAD that we won’t have to look at JD’S gums during the Video … My momma would say he has a puzzy mouth …

JD might have passed on these artists, but wasn’t LaFace the mecca of Atlanta music back then??? Everybody was on LaFace. That was like Motown Atlanta.
A 19,20,21 year old couldn’t have been making bigger moves than JD did back in the early 90s. How much bigger is bigger? We should know by know that JD can’t make everybody hot. He makes hits for Mariah but Janet’s fall short.

Greg needs to get a life and realize that JD doesn’t have to make music anymore for the masses. He has enough money in the bank to produce nursery rhymes for him and his children if he feels like it.
