Evander Holyfied gets to keep his mansion
According to That Bitch, boxer Evander Holyfield can breathe a sigh of relief this morning. The champ gets to keep his Fayetteville, Georgia mansion after he found two suckers banks willing to extend him credit to cover his delinquent mortgage payments.
Now if only those same banks would pay his exorbitant child support, he could really sleep at night.
Evander quietly picked up two new 5 million mortgages to keep his property off the auction block. Evander says, “I’m not broke. I’m just not liquid. I do feel kind of sad because things have always been positive and now everybody wants to jump on me like I’m the worst person in the world and I went out and blew all my money.” (Source)
Holyfield really needs to take my advice and sell that estate. His boxing days are behind him and as long as he’s stays virile and potent, he’s a target for every skank and hoochie looking for a quick payday.

He needs to sell it!! That house is just too big!! Nobody needs 100 plus rooms!! Especially if you can’t afford it!! Tht is just ridiculous!! And he needs to pay his child support too!
I do not understand why celebs FINANCE a house. I mean if you have the money why not just out right BUY the property? Then all you have to do is keep the taxes paid up and you’ll be good. I agree, he needs to sell unless he plans to move his whole family in and they spilt all the bills.

I read that the reason he didn’t want to sell it is because the street the house sits on is named after him. Evander Holyfield Highway.
I would definitely down size, he is living out of his means. I am simple and if I had long money I would have a nice house, but not a mansion. Holyfield ain’t had a fight since Tyson bit his ear off I am sure that money is gone by now cause obviously he does not budget his money. He needs some advice from Rev Run.

I think it’s for tax purposes. They use the interest they paid on it as a write-off. (I think- I’m no H&R Block!)

They need deductions each year also. Most celebs don’t out right buy their homes.

I don’t know why he has such a big house either. If he is paying child support the kids don’t live with him.

Actually Holyfield has had 16 fights since the Tyson ear-biting incident (1999); including his last fight only 8 months ago (October 13, 2007).
But yes, I agree, he obviously does not budget very well.

go get a 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bath. it’s okay…stop trying to ball out…you have like 10 kids, childsupport, dental, doctor bills. i mean really. you obviously can’t maintain that kind of lifestyle with all those ex’s and mouths to feed. h*ll if you want a pool you can get the blow up one at walmart for like $200.

Well im glad. Its abundandtly clear that he put his all into that house I pass by his estate every other day. The damned street is even named after him. He needs to get it together as well. Child support arrears is not the business. On a side note… what the hell did he do with all his money????

1. Picking the wrong women and far too many kids.
2. Bad investments. If he has a lot of real estate right now its going to be hard to sell anything.
3. Not keeping a good eye (or should I say ear) on what’s going on. Assuming the people you pay will handle everything.
