Fantasia dumped by management company?
According to EW.com, former American Idol winner Fantasia was unceremoniously dumped by her management company, 19 Management, today.
The reason for the split, according to sources, is that age-old saw “creative differences.” However, like many other Idol contestants, Fantasia remains on the label 19 Recordings and will continue to share music sales profits with the company.
A rep for 19 declined to comment.

I can’t see this fire engine hair and yeast infection cat suit as being part of any “image” any handlers would try to create, maybe she just wasn’t worht their effort any more.
She was too damn ghetto and country for them..all that overshadowed her talent
Not a surprise here. I just know that money does not buy class and I did expect her to get a stylist for hair and dressing. She needs to redo real quick . Her voice may be beautiful but she forgets that you do have to sell yourself. Nothing wrong with some improvement classes. Although I am not surprised, I am still disappointed. She does not have to dress like Michelle Obama but I am so tired of looking at hoodrat tatts on women. Just my 50 cents.
I say good for Fantasia as 19 Entertainment never did anything for her. Its time for her to spread her wings and find management that will finally get her career going in the right direction. I’m pretty sure she will have no trouble finding management.
they have done her a favor..maybe now she can get a real management team that really cares about her career. cause she was on the ruben studdard path…

As for 19 Management, she should have never went back to them after she fired them the first time a few years ago before her 2nd album came out. If she fired them for a reason why go running back? They have no idea what to do with R&B artists anyways.
But I’d bet the house on the fact that they wouldn’t dare drop her from 19 Recordings, since she is one of the 3 or 4 artists that actually sell some records for them.

@ Brwnsugga, that was a path she created for herself. Just like Ruben. They asked his big ass to lose weight, he did & made no effort to keep it off. I’m sure they asked Tasia to wear more “people friendly” hairstyles & she dyed it black & white. She did that to herself, IMO
I think Fantasia is a decent singer, but she need a drastic makeover..There’s nothing wrong with being yourself but you have to show some porfessionalism and be business smart about some of your choices..Fantasia has great potential but she is too damn alley and hood and that’s going to destroy her career in the long run..I use to defend her when people would put her down and call her ugly but she makes it too easy, I don’t know why she feels the need to downgrade herself with tatoo’s, thrashy outfits, and loud hair…

Lauryn Hill, Angie Stone, India Irie, Erica Badu, Grace Jones, Estelle are all dark skinned sistas who have do well in the industry..I don’t believe for one minute that dark women don’t sale records, it’s about your marketability and your sound..And that ignorant ass comment was funny coming from Snoop being that is daughter is very dark and super unattractive and she wants to be a singer, I would love to hear what he’s going to tell her if she ever tries to get into the industry..The dark skinned, ugly girls that he’s refering to all represent his daughter.
Fannie has a beautiful voice and will be able to get back on top as long as she don’t sign with Bad Boy Records!

I think thats wrong to call a 10 year old child unattractive. And I dont think u can find one parent who doesnt think their child isnt beautiful (even Snoop). Fantasia’s flop has nothing to do with her face. No one is going to support a hoodrat who isnt trying to show class EVER

WTF is up with that? I truly admire both artist, but I never understood why Fantasia always get the harsh critisism, where as Keyshia and Mary (who are FAR from graceful) get all the appraisal???

Sorry, I’ve been here for a minute. I’m not “new” to this at all. No need for me to do research on here, cuz I’m quite aware of the ignorance and hypocrisy that goes on here, thats why I hardly comment. Trust me, “grown and sexy” is only a state of mind and its sad that people often mistake that for being knowledgable and educated (and I’m not tryin to call YOU uneducated). I don’t stoop low to call people names, cuz thats not my style. However there is a saying that my auntie always tells me, “Only a person with class will recognize another with class”. And vice versa. You get my point?
I like Fantasia. I think she is unique in that she hasnt conformed herself into something that she is not just for the record executives. …Kind of like how RhiRhi pushed back from having to wear fake hair. I heard they wanted to put her on a “body” plan… wtf. She is comfortable in her body and comfortable in the fact that she was raised hood and chooses to stay that way in many respects. A lot of what comes out of her mouth is Real Talk but, because it comes off so “hood” people choose not to listen.
As Ive said before .. i like to talk about the ones that conform…they are more fun to talk about cause they are so fake (picturing lil’kim)… JMO.
snoop’s lil girl looks exactly like shante’s sister so i really believe she’s his; she just came out like the momma’s family.
