How refreshing: something positive to report about presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. The Power couple made the cover of next week’s US Weekly. The media hates the positivity but we love it!

US Weekly and not Essence. I like a black magazine that supports black ppl. This is US Weekly, do they even put black newborns or newly black married ppl on the cover?

THE OBAMAS ARE BEAUTIFUL! I am sure they will grace the cover together on many more magazines.

This is history for US Weekly. Lets buy the mag ppl and save them.

WOW!!! I’m gonna have to purchase this…Us Weekly usually is hesistate to put Blacks on the cover as a top story. This is serious…I most definitely will be purchasing this issue.

I believe their marriage is only better because they already went through the hurdles. She is his “rock” because she stood by him and supported him long before we knew who he was. Every marriage is a volley. You do go back and forth to support each other be it good or bad. After going through some things it makes you fall either back in love or more in love. Look at the body language, and smiles, that is not only love but respect and appreciation. To love and be in love with someon is special, but if you still like that person at the end of the day YOU ARE BLESSED.

Regardless who they had on the cover in the past, we have to continue to tell the media that WE DO PURCHASE and READ magazines featuring People of Color on their covers and this is a POSITIVE thing to do, not only for the “political correctness” of it, but because our presence “Moves the proverbial needle” and sells product ( and not just CD’s, Movies, Liquor, and Clothes).

I personaaly don’t see anything wrong with the headline…I think this is an article giving Obaama’s view on why he loves Michelle so much…you know the little simple things that makes her so special to him..The little things that makes his heart skip a beat…but then yet he showing the world that she’s a regular black woman that we can relate to…I love the headline.

First off I subscribe to this magazine, so I should be getting this issue in the mail soon-yeah! I read whatever peaks my fancy-of course essence is renewed automatically I read it from front to back, but I just love this cover and the love, respect, & admiration that these two have for one another.

It’s refreshing to see black love, especially when it seems that black people have the “battle of the sexes” thing going on-it’s a great example that that blacks can have successful marriages…

FYI-this months Essence has a great article on black women who thought they would never marry, a variety of black women young, mature, different professional backgrounds et. very inspiring……

I am sooo impressed with the Obamas!! I went to Obama’s rally here in Detroit Monday, and he gave me chills…he is awesome!! Then, this morning Michelle was on the View, and she held on her own…literally!! They will be our next first couple….hands down!!

Ms. Obama spoke of her love and dedication to her Husband and her children . how they strive to kooe them normal .. and she even said .. the dress she was wearing was from “some store that only sells black and white clothes” … she didn’t even care to know the name of the store … she just knew that it fit her well … Lovely Lady

Nice to see positive black love on the cover of a magazine other than Essence, Ebony o Jet. I will be purchasing that magazine ASAP.
