Hits Daily Double which normally posts close to accurate first-day sales of albums sold in U.S. markets, didn’t even mention Solange Knowles’ CD which went on sale yesterday. This does not bode well for Solange who is probably looking at around 10K in first week sales.
The first-day sales are usually an indicator of how well an album does it’s first week out. After reading the comments I have to agree that Solo should have held checked herself instead of checking that anchor woman today. She really showed her true colors and that’s a shame because she was doing so well.

I don’t blame her for forcefully stepping out of her sisters shadow. I mean, it is aggrevating to constantly being compared to Bey and now that she is married to Jay that has to be really intimidating as well. She wants to stand on her on two feet and make a way for herself on her on. Therefore, she was right to check that anchor woman because they are always trying to sneak little comments in.
I purchased her cd and it’s different and I really love it. It’s artistic, creative and she had enough courage to make music that she wanted to and not worry about a particular image or genre. GO SOLANGE!!!!!!!!!1

Maybe she was drunk or high, and yes she shouldnt have checked her but she needed to keep it real and she DOES not want to be associated with BEYONCE, and you cannot hate her for that, the reason her album wouldnt sell to well is because she doesnt get much promotion and radio play because lets be real not many people want to hear 60s pop R&B its true, but at the end of the day she has to be real and true to herself, like dallas austin told monica, she has to be real and true and if the record sales dont come in, oh well shes living the dream that she has wanted for herself and thats all that matters. With Beyonce and Her Brother and law and mom shes set for LIFE so does it matter?

Music track leaks are staged; they are intentional. Record companies have been using this tactic as a viral marketing strategy. So, her low record sales are not do to leaks either. Music leaks are used to build suspense around an album release.

Umm, her “attack” on the anchor is NOT what is keeping her CD from selling - hate to bust the bubble on that theory.
Solange will always be in Beyonce’s shadow. It just is what it is. She will appeal to some, but not a lot. Those are just the dirty raw stats and data of this.
The funniest thing is on another site (I’m not saying it but somebody mentioned it above) throughout the whole story the reference her not by name but as Beyonce sister. Not one time did they say the name solonge. Poor girl now you know how Kelly & Michelle feel.

Well I bought the CD. I love the song with Bilal and i’m upset that she didn’t add “White Picket Dreams”. That’s the song that made me even think to purchase her new stuff. She has matured a lot and trying to sing a little harder but to me her voice is still kind of kiddy. She doesn’t have the full range and big voice like Beyonce’. SORRY Solo
