Rick Ross’ Be Out Day

Disgraced rapper Rick Ross is in Miami stuntin’ like he isn’t the biggest fraud in Hip Hop. Rick Ross’ Be Out Day is in full swing today in Carol City, a suburb of Miami, Florida. Recording artists like Sammie (I know, lol), Trina, DJ Khaled, and Trick Daddy are confirmed to attend. Be Out Day is an annual charity event (now in its second year) designed to assist parents and students in preparing for the school year.

Rick Ross (who is such a liar he won’t even admit he stole his name) and his celebrity friends will hand out free backpacks and school supplies to underprivileged children. The kids will also get good food, health screenings, music, and family-friendly entertainment.

There will also be a presentation of the Rick Ross Charities, Inc Scholarship Award.

    I just can’t piece together what the big deal is…just because he was a cop don’t mean he wasn’t a shady cop and perhaps did those things he now writes about. At least he worked under the radar by keeping a regular gig. What am I missing about the hype on this guy and his past?

    I can’t remember it exactly but JZ recently made an extremely intelligent statement about THUGGING, STREET LIFE and what it is to succeed beyond it.

    He said something like(paraprhasing): “if you are blessed and rich enough to leave the streets, what does it mean when you say “I’m keeping it hood”…why would you want to keep it hood”.

    ….GREAT STATEMENT!! that made a great deal of sense to me.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ggouch..the problem is that he lied about his past. he lied saying that he never worked as a correctional officer…trying to proclaim the thug life. then photos of him in uniform, applications etc…started coming out. so, i think people lost respect for him. not that he had a job…cause that’s great!!…but, that he lied to portray this thug life image.
    but, hats off to him doing something for the kids.
    That’s what’s up. To hell with his extremely silly street cred “crisis”. I’m glad he didn’t cancel the event for fear it would make him appear too socially aware.
