The National Enquirer has exposed a Sarah Palin scandal that, if true, threatens to derail the McCain/Palin campaign. According to the Enquirer, Palin cheated on her husband Tom with Todd’s former business partner, Brad Hanson, who at the time was a married man.
Hanson owned a snowmobile dealership with Palin’s husband Todd, who angrily dissolved the partnership after he heard about the affair, which occurred around 1996.
Hanson denies ever having an affair with the 44-year-old candidate, but his family members say otherwise:
Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, has gone on the record and passed a rigorous polygraph test.“I’ve known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn’t until just recently that I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin,” Burdett told The National Enquirer.
“Todd found out about the affair and was so mad he broke up their partnership at the snowmobile dealership,” Burdett claimed. (Source)

I heard this before and not from the Enquirer, so there may be some truth to this. All we can do is see how this pans out. Doesn’t matter, I’m not voting for them anyway.
The National Enquirer has grown its credibility over time. They are after all the ones that first said John Edwards was cheating and a year later after denying it - John Edwards had to come out and admit the truth. He cheated and so did Sarah Palin I bet.

Lindsey Graham tells CNN the McCain campaign is proposing to the Presidential Debate Commission and the Obama camp that if there’s no bailout deal by Friday, the first presidential debate should take the place of the VP debate, currently scheduled for next Thursday, October 2 in St. Louis.
In this scenario, the vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin would be rescheduled for a date yet to be determined, and take place in Oxford, Mississippi, currently slated to be the site of the first presidential faceoff this Friday.
Graham says the McCain camp is well aware of the position of the Obama campaign and the debate commission that the debate should go on as planned — but both he and another senior McCain adviser insist the Republican nominee will not go to the debate Friday if there’s no deal on the bailout.
I think that there is truth to this. I was reading about this one day from another source and the article contained a link to their small town’s public records office.
The link took you directly to the emergency petition filed on 9/3/08 to have the divorce records sealed for Brad Hanson - the guy she was creeping with.
The petition was denied on 9/4.

I said the same thing this morning! Mc Cain is not ready to tell us what he plans to do with the crisis if he becomes President—-BECAUSE HE DON’T KNOW—-that’s why he trying to back out. I actually commend President Bush for having McCain and Obama with him to discuss the plan, b/c one of them is going to have to deal directly with the situation in a few months……
I don’t think there is need to cancel the debate…we need to know what they each plan to do about this (and other issues) if/when they get in there…..

i do agree however with one thing, IF this were a MAN vp, then no one would barely blink an eye about the cheating unless it was done on the same scale as Bill Clinton. then people look and pay attention to a man cheating who is in office or running for office bcz Bill was just plain old messy about it.

I read about this earlier on a site. I actually think it might have been newsweek who was mentioning the national inquirer and how they have been pulling legitimate “trasy” stories that the mainstream media are reluctant to cover.
Anyways someone over at the enquirer camp needs to pay a court clerk some serious money to get those divorce documents secretly scanned and posted for public review.
